This position will be working in our SUB team. Subdesign is a subsidiary of the CBA Group. Our mission is to transform brands, give them meaning, and maximise their positive impact through innovative and strategic design. Skills and Responsibilities

We are seeking a visionary and highly experienced Senior Designer to join our dynamic team. If you are a strategic thinker with a proven flair for creative leadership and a strong desire to make a significant and lasting impact, we are eager to connect with you!

 

As a Senior Designer at Subdesign, you will be instrumental in shaping the future narratives and visual identities of our clients' brands. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of significant design projects, guiding them from initial conceptual exploration and innovative ideation sessions through to final production. You will ensure strategic alignment and creative excellence across medium to large-scale initiatives, informed by comprehensive design research.
  • Developing compelling design strategies and translating them into innovative, cohesive solutions that perform effectively across diverse digital and physical channels.
  • Partnering closely with clients and internal cross-functional teams to define project objectives, establish clear creative direction, and ensure shared understanding throughout the entire design process.
  • Providing constructive guidance and mentorship to junior designers, actively fostering their professional growth and ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality work across the team.
  • Actively participating in the development of cutting-edge design plans that push boundaries. You will also work effectively to diagnose and overcome intricate strategic and design hurdles, finding creative and effective solutions.
  • Managing and contributing to several projects concurrently, maintaining impeccable standards of quality and ensuring all design outputs are perfectly aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Strategically leveraging artificial intelligence tools and methodologies to enhance creative inspiration, optimize workflows, and significantly improve overall project efficiency.

 

Skills and Requirements

To thrive in this pivotal role, you will bring a blend of extensive experience, profound strategic insight, and creative passion:

  • A demonstrated track record of success within dynamic brand or design agency environments, handling diverse and complex client portfolios.
  • Significant experience in CPG branding and packaging design, with a strong understanding of retail environments and production processes.
  • A profound grasp of how design directly drives business objectives, coupled with an exceptional ability to craft compelling brand narratives through powerful visual communication.
  • Expert capability in seamlessly integrating and applying brand assets such as typography, color palettes, composition, and imagery to maintain a consistent and impactful brand identity across all touchpoints.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex design concepts clearly and present ideas persuasively to both clients and internal stakeholders. Fluent in English is essential for effective global collaboration.
  • A keen eye for current and emerging creative, cultural, and market trends, enabling the development of relevant, forward-thinking, and impactful design solutions.
  • Advanced proficiency in industry-standard design software, including but not limited to Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Miro, alongside a strong aptitude for utilizing AI-powered design tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating engaging motion graphics and developing versatile visual content optimized for various platforms and media.
  • An unwavering passion for branding, a deep commitment to creative excellence, and an intrinsic desire to produce impactful and truly transformative design work.
