Job Summary

Langan is seeking a Software Developer to join its collaborative Information Technology team. This individual will support the design, development, and implementation of software solutions that drive innovation and support business initiatives across the organization. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications using modern technologies and frameworks across web, backend, and cloud platforms;
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, including AI/ML integrations and cloud-based services, and build proofs-of-concept to assess feasibility;
  • Build and maintain RESTful APIs and integrations with internal systems and third-party platforms;
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions; 
  • Support multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring quality and timely delivery;
  • Contribute to system optimization, performance improvements, and application reliability; and 
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of development practices. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field;
  • Experience in software development (internship or professional experience);
  • Strong knowledge of Python and the modern web development ecosystem, including frameworks such as FastAPI;
  • Experience in software application development;
  • Ability to develop and work with RESTful APIs and data formats such as JSON;
  • Knowledge of modern application frameworks and architectures such as React and Next.js, including web and cross-platform development;
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure;
  • Experience deploying and releasing applications to production environments; 
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integrations or geospatial technologies; and
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization with Docker, and modern DevOps practices.

LANGAN is a Government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974, as amended by the Jobs for Veterans Act of 2002, 38 U.S.C. 4212 (VEVRAA), which requires Government contractors to take affirmative action to employ and advance in employment: (1) disabled veterans; (2) recently separated veterans; (3) active duty wartime or campaign badge veterans; and (4) Armed Forces service medal veterans.

How do I know my Veteran Classification?

These classifications are defined as follows and are hereafter referred to all together as “protected veterans”:
