Job Summary
Langan is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its collaborative Information Technology team. This individual will support the development, automation, and optimization of software delivery pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring reliable, scalable, and secure systems. This role bridges software development and IT operations, enabling faster delivery cycles and improved system performance.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to automate code integration, testing, and deployment;
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement preventive measures to ensure reliability;
- Optimize Azure cloud infrastructure and implement cost-effective solutions;
- Build and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Bicep;
- Containerize applications with Docker and manage Kubernetes deployments using Helm charts;
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve issues and deploy new features efficiently;
- Monitor systems and implement improvements based on performance analysis;
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort; and
- Implement security best practices, including automated compliance and secure deployments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience;
- Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions and automation frameworks;
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure;
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools;
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and packaging tools such as Helm;
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell;
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills; and
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or equivalent;
- Knowledge of agile methodologies and DevOps best practices;
- Experience with tools such as Git, GitHub Actions, Docker, and Helm; and
- Understanding of basic networking concepts.
