Job Title: MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN
Job Description/Summary
The maintenance electrician technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.
Essential Functions
- Oversee, perform and direct electrical installations, repairs and maintenance on plant facility equipment, while following customer policies, procedures, safety rules and federal and state laws.
- Must be able to wire, terminate and understand electrical drawings and work independently or as an integrated team to complete complex critical electrical tie-ins and outages.
- Assembles, inspects, adjusts, repairs or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. This person will make mechanical and electrical repairs as required in connection with the servicing of electrical and electronic equipment.
- Starts up and shuts down various types of plant equipment. Inspects, adjusts and repairs all electric brakes including those used on cranes.
- Trouble shooting control wiring and electrical systems.
- Laying out and bending conduit, pulling wire, and starting up systems
Required Education and Experience
- Ideally 3–5 years’ electrician experience in manufacturing maintenance environment
- Team player who demonstrates the ability to relate to employees at all levels of the organization
- Must be able to understand and apply basic directions with regard to safety procedures, quality standards, production goals, and company rules, regulations and processes
- Proficiency in operating machinery in routine and non-routine, and complex and non-complex environments
- Operate within SOP’S and maintain a clean and safe work area
- Ability to perform to schedule in flexible, dynamic work environment with minimal supervision
- Ensuring basic quality standards are met
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
