Warehouse Manager
Job Description/Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring the Warehouse operates seamlessly ensuring safety, quality, delivery, value and culture of the department is maintained. This role is responsible for scheduling incoming raw material, WIP materials, staging/storage of materials and timely delivery of material to the Assembly lines. Inventory Management by maintaining accurate inventory, FIFO method, inventory auditing and reconciliation of discrepancies and managing Slow Moving Inventory (SMI).
Essential Functions
- Ensure safe work environment for employees by following and enforcing safety policies, PPE requirements and development/implementation of improved safety practices.
- Tracks, reviews and corrects daily equipment checklist from the forklift operators to ensure the safe/proper operation of equipment.
- Plans/Coordinates storage locations of all materials ensuring the quality and accuracy of inventory is maintained. Ensure cleanliness standards and 5S expectations are maintained.
- Manages all aspects of incoming raw materials, WIP and MRO materials.
- Ensures staging of materials required for Assembly Department production is complete.
- Process internal transfers from other locations and other company sites.
- Coordinates with managers or departments regarding discrepancies and errors in the supply chain process are corrected.
- Monitors warehouse workers, temp workers and associated activities; aids those with concerns or issues on the work floor.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Must have 3-5 years of warehouse management experience.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or a related field or relevant experience maybe considered.
Proficient in MRP software experience - QAD preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to work independently and make decisions based upon available data.
Proficient Excel Skills and other Microsoft Office Products.
