Shipping Supervisor

Lasko Products, an industry leader in designing and manufacturing portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is hiring a Shipping Supervisor for our Ft. Worth, TX facility.

The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shipping operations in our light manufacturing facility, ensuring the accurate, timely, and efficient shipment of products. This role involves supervising a team of shipping personnel, coordinating logistics, and ensuring compliance with company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise shipping staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Coordinate outbound shipments to ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure proper documentation of shipments.
  • Work closely with production, warehouse, and transportation teams to streamline shipping operations.
  • Ensure all shipments meet quality control standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain shipping records, including bills of lading, invoices, and shipping logs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve shipping issues such as delays, damaged goods, or discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce safety procedures and company policies.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in shipping operations.
  • Communicate with carriers and vendors to negotiate shipping rates and schedules.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse supervision in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of shipping procedures, freight regulations, and inventory management.
  • Proficiency in shipping software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Forklift certification and experience with warehouse equipment is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and machinery.
