Industrial Design Summer Internship

Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacturing of portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is seeking an Industrial Design Intern to join our team.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn from an experienced industrial design team that has more than 70 years of combined experience in the consumer goods industry.

At Lasko, you will gain hands-on experience in design and model making at an industry leader of home comfort products. As a part of this internship, you will learn how to take your ideas from concept form to a functional looks like model that is ready to be presented to customers.

The summer internship will run from mid- May through mid -August, and will be located in our West Chester, PA headquarters.

 Primary Responsibilities

  • Work on a team of experienced designers and engineers to provide looks-like / works-like prototypes for sales and engineering samples. You will have access to a plethora of tools and equipment to create these prototypes.
  • Learn how to operate two 3d printers- HP Multi Jet Fusion 5200 as well as Stratasys Objet Eden 260v polyjet printer.
  • Expand your skillset and craftsmanship in our design shop and automotive painting spray booth.
  • Come up with design ideas and increase your skills in design research, sketching, 3d modeling, adobe programs, and 3d printing software for build setups.

Requirements

  • Be a college junior or senior studying Industrial Design
  • Provide a portfolio displaying a broad skillset and interests
  • 3.0 GPA or higher
