Technical Project Manager

Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters for over 100 years, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead project management of IT focused initiatives and the creation and maintenance of key projects to drive the efficiency of Lasko’s IT infrastructure.

The Technical Project Manager (IT) leads the planning, execution, and delivery of technology initiatives across the organization, partnering with business and technical teams to deliver measurable outcomes. This role is best suited for an experienced project leader who can drive complex, cross-functional programs (e.g., ERP and enterprise application implementations, integrations, infrastructure modernization, and digital transformation) while improving business processes and strengthening delivery governance. The Technical Project Manager works closely with the PMO, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end delivery of complex IT and business initiatives, controlling scope, schedule, budget, quality, and benefits realization.
  • Coordinate program changes or potential program changes to the baseline and ensures the approved changes are communicated and implemented. 
  • Plan and facilitate cross-functional working sessions to define requirements and map current-state/future-state processes—including uncovering undocumented workflows—then document issues, pain points, and roadblocks and translate them into actionable requirements and priorities.
  • Proactively identify, document, and manage risks, issues, and dependencies; drive mitigation plans, remove blockers, and escalate effectively when needed.
  • Interacts and influences regularly with key stakeholders including senior executives, customers, and board members
  • Partner with senior leaders and functional stakeholders to set priorities, manage expectations, and drive decision-making across competing business needs.
  • Lead ERP and enterprise application projects such as software implementations, system upgrades, application development, and infrastructure initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, resource plans, and milestone schedules across internal teams, vendors, and system integrators.
  • Track and communicate progress against plan; drive resolution of cross-team dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of key decisions, deliverables, and approvals.
  • Identify cross-project interdependencies and constraints; partner with the PMO and business sponsors to build and maintain an integrated program roadmap, sequencing work to optimize value, capacity, and risk.
  • Execute a comprehensive communication and change management approach, including stakeholder analysis, training coordination, cutover planning, and go-live readiness.
  • At the completion of a project or project phase, captures key lessons learned and communicates to PMO and business. Effectively applies lessons learned in subsequent projects. 
  • Develop project charters, business cases (as needed), and success metrics; define KPI targets and post-implementation validation plans.
  • Lead the development of cross functional, cross-company project team; provide input leadership and direction when project scope or timing changes. 
  • Brings a comprehensive understanding of business practices and operational workflows, enabling informed questioning, proactive risk identification, and effective alignment of systems projects with strategic business needs.

  • Passionate about bringing people of all disciplines (engineering, sales, marketing, supply chain, finance) together to capture opportunities and/or solve problems that have the greatest chance of overall success. 
  • Excellent project management skills, with ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with acute attention to detail.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–10 years of progressive project management experience delivering cross-functional technology and business initiatives.
  • Hands-on experience leading ERP projects and/or major enterprise application implementations (e.g., finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or warehouse systems).
  • Experience with process mapping and business process improvement projects; ability to document requirements, redesign workflows, and drive adoption of new ways of working.
  • PMP certification preferred; PMP required within an agreed timeframe (or willingness to actively pursue certification).
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and IT concepts  
  • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, or similar), and project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar)
