LastPass is looking for a Senior Payments Growth Analyst:
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Payments Growth Analyst to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will utilize data analytics, machine learning, and prescriptive analytics to optimize payment processes, reduce involuntary churn, and enhance customer satisfaction. Your expertise will directly influence our growth strategies, improve trial conversion rates, and drive customer retention by enhancing the payment experience.

Who will you work with?
As part of the Growth Marketing & eCommerce team, you will drive customer acquisition and retention in both B2C and B2B sectors, impacting a significant portion of the company’s users and revenue. This team focuses on experimentation and understanding consumer behavior, collaborating cross-functionally to address key customer-centric challenges. In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, finance, product management, engineering, legal, customer support, and customer success teams. These teams will rely on your expertise for payments requirements and opportunities, and you will work with them to implement effective payments and growth strategies.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Conduct comprehensive exploratory data analysis to identify trends and factors influencing payment success.
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to predict payment failures and proactively implement solutions.
- Utilize prescriptive analytics to provide actionable recommendations for reducing involuntary churn.
- Continuously monitor payment performance metrics and refine strategies to enhance success rates.
- Analyze transaction data to identify bottlenecks and opportunities within the customer payment journey.
- Recommend and implement alternative payment methods tailored to regional preferences with an international perspective.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new payment solutions and optimize existing payment infrastructures.
- Stay informed on global payment trends and technologies to ensure our offerings meet and exceed customer expectations.
- Partner with the growth marketing team to improve trial conversion and retention rates through data-driven insights.
- Leverage customer data to enhance user experience, focusing on product-led growth strategies.
- Analyze pricing models and packaging options, optimizing them based on market trends and customer behavior.
- Contribute to the development of personalized customer experiences that drive engagement and loyalty.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- Proven experience in data analytics and data science, preferably in payments, fintech, e-commerce, or SaaS industries.
- Demonstrated track record of applying data-driven strategies to improve business outcomes.
- Proficiency in SQL and programming languages such as Python or R.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI) for effective communication of insights.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate findings into actionable business strategies.
- Experience with A/B testing, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders.

- Strategic thinker capable of driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
It's great, but not required:
- In-depth knowledge of payment processing, fraud prevention, and chargeback management.
- Experience with global alternative payment methods.
- Proficiency in prescriptive analytics and implementing data-driven recommendations.
- Familiarity with customer segmentation, personalization strategies, and lifecycle marketing.
- Knowledge of product-led growth principles and customer experience optimization.
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $60,000 in the lowest geographic market and up to $90,000 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
