LastPass is looking for a DevOps Engineer
with a strong sense of ownership, technical expertise, and a collaborative mindset to join our high-performing A-Team. This team plays a critical role as an internal enabler - building, optimizing, and maintaining the tools, pipelines, and processes that empower our product teams to deliver faster, more securely, and with greater efficiency.
In this strategic and hands-on role, you’ll collaborate closely with developers, platform stakeholders, and fellow DevOps engineers to design, implement, and support scalable, reliable internal systems. You'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across the organization by improving developer experience, enhancing deployment practices, and driving operational excellence.
If you are passionate about complex problem solving and motivated by scale, then this is the role for you!
Who will you work with?
You’ll be part of the Platform Engineering team, working closely with engineers who manage both production and non-production environments, developers who rely on our platform to get their work done, security specialists, and cross-functional teams that depend on our tools and infrastructure to deliver effectively.
Internally, we are a highly skilled team of engineers with broad expertise—from databases to CI/CD pipelines. We build scripts, create automations, and continuously enhance our platform to ensure a seamless experience for our internal users.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Own and manage platform-related requests and tickets (JSM), delivering effective solutions through automation, runbooks, documentation, or process improvements.
- Lead or contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, internal tools, and enhancements to the developer experience (e.g., Nix environments).
- Support cross-functional projects such as platform upgrades, tooling migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
- Collaborate with developers and engineering teams to understand pain points and provide scalable, well-documented solutions.
- Actively engage in internal support channels—triaging requests, assisting users, and driving issues to resolution.
- Participate in team ceremonies, planning sessions, and contribute to knowledge-sharing and continuous improvement within the team.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira/JSM) and best practices for internal support.
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, reproducible guides, runbooks, and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders across various teams.
- Solid understanding of DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering practices and support.
- Familiarity with GitLab or other version control systems (VCS).
- Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
It's great, but not required:
- Previous experience in platform enablement or developer support roles.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments, with experience in Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of developer onboarding processes and environment reproducibility.
- Familiarity with GitOps practices and pipeline-as-code frameworks.
