About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in a variety of BI tools and technologies, including DBT, Airflow, Redshift, SQL, Python, AWS Glue, Power BI, and Data Warehousing. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines, transforming raw data into actionable insights, and creating business intelligence solutions for our stakeholders.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines using DBT, Airflow, and AWS Glue.
- Develop and manage ETL processes for large-scale data systems, leveraging Redshift and other cloud technologies.
- Create and maintain complex SQL queries for data analysis, reporting, and transformation.
- Build automated workflows in Airflow to ensure efficient data processing and integration.
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for business users.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data needs, collect and analyze data, and deliver actionable insights.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all BI systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues to ensure reliable and consistent reporting.
- Support data warehousing and data modeling efforts, ensuring proper design and scalability.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, providing clear insights and recommendations.
- Support technical evaluations of other consultants when required, contributing to the assessment of skills and alignment with project needs
What You Bring
- Strong experience with DBT for data transformation and pipeline orchestration.
- Proficiency in Airflow for workflow management and automation.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift for data storage and querying.
- Advanced SQL skills for querying, transforming, and aggregating data from diverse sources.
- Solid programming knowledge of Python, especially in data processing and automation.
- Familiarity with AWS Glue for building ETL pipelines in a cloud environment.
- Expertise in Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
- Strong background in data warehousing concepts and architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex data projects.
- Proven experience in developing scalable and efficient data solutions.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Work on the Deliverables using Agile/Kanban methodology with priority and requirements driven by the Client team.
- Provide high quality Deliverables with mutually agreed unit and end to end integration test coverage
- Provide quality assurance support to ensure the Client team is able to test the Deliverables for user acceptance.
- Perform production migration, version control & support to go-live as per project deadlines
Nice to have:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with additional cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
