About this position:

We are seeking a passionate Creative Director to help us build a world class brand and lead our Creative Team. The ideal candidate will have leadership experience at a SaaS company with an impressive background in creative strategy, concept development and brand storytelling. A keen eye for design and a deep understanding of our target audience and market trends are integral to the role. The Creative Director will work with Marketing Leadership to help determine the creative vision of a brand or project and will manifest that vision through a strategic approach that includes digital, print and video resulting in integrated campaigns tailored to appeal to the specific audience.

Understanding Sales-led growth and Marketing strategy is crucial for success in this role as you will work closely with Content, Events, Demand Generation, Product Marketing, and Sales teams to support their strategic initiatives and business objectives.

Later drives predictable outcomes on social media for brands, agencies, and businesses by providing influencer marketing software and campaigns, social media management software, social program audits, action plans, and content creation services, social commerce and affiliate, social listening, and more. This role will support initiatives for all Later products and properties, including Later Influence, Later Social, Later Link in Bio, and more…

What you'll be doing:

Strategy & Design

  • Understand our target audience, market trends, business objectives and business outcomes to help support and optimize marketing strategies with stakeholders
  • Use your knowledge of the sales cycle, content marketing, and the marketing funnel to streamline creative deliverables/processes for sales enablement and marketing tactics
  • Identify cross-sell/up-sell opportunities via design and layout that support growing our business through acquisition, lead nurture, lead management, feature releases and other retention opportunities 
  • Collaborate with marketing/brand experts to develop/manage the company’s brand guidelines ensuring consistent and cohesive application across all touchpoints
  • Apply best practices and industry standards in brand and conversion design, incorporating persuasive elements, great calls-to-action, and effective use of visual hierarchy and storytelling techniques
  • Build trust through influence by sharing rationale for design decisions via data-driven insights

Leadership & Operations

  • Provide strategic direction and tangible guidance to the Creative Team to ensure the  team delivers impactful creatives on brand and on time 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing, promoting best practices, and inspiring the team to push the boundaries of design excellence
  • Conduct performance evaluations, quarterly coaching sessions, and provide constructive feedback to the team members to enhance their skills and improve their performance
  • Drive efficiency of the team by optimizing processes & workflow
  • Understand and manage internal stakeholders requirements and expectations
  • Contribute to budget discussions, manage spend and contractors

Experimentation, Data & Optimization

  • Test design and execution: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop hypotheses, experimental designs, and implementing tests to optimize ads, digital and print designs
  • Data analysis: Analyze results to draw meaningful conclusions, identify winning variations, and share insights for future optimizations.
  • Continuous improvement: Applying insights from experiments/projects to refine the user journey, aiming for better engagement, conversion rates, and customer experience
  • Staying updated: Keeping abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in design, social media, and UI/UX to identify opportunities for innovation and experimentation and stay competitive.

  • 8+ years experience designing for digital, web and print properties
  • 4+ years experience in a Creative Leadership role
  • SaaS company experience (preferably SLG)
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Great portfolio demonstrating a track record of successful design projects including digital, UI/UX and print pieces
  • Experience with design tools such as Adobe CS, Figma, Sketch, and/or XD
  • Proficient with marketing analytics, reporting, and how to use data to drive business decisions
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and executing A/B tests, analyzing and translating data into business and consumer insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate concepts, methodologies, and results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Great interpersonal and project management skills to collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
  • Flexibility & ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment

Bonus

  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Marketo, Klaviyo, or other similar platforms)
  • Experience in Agile Marketing (Kanban, Scrumban, etc)

Our approach to compensation:

We take a market-based & data-driven approach to compensation. We leverage data from trusted third-party compensation sources to help us understand the market value of a role based on function, level, geographic location, and scope. We evaluate compensation bi-annually, including performance and market-related factors.

Our salaries are benchmarked against market Total Cash Compensation for the geographic location of our job posting. Compensation for some roles is structured as On Target Earnings (OTE = base + commission/variable) while for others it is structured as Salary only.

To comply with local legislation and ensure transparency, we share salary ranges on all job postings. Skills, experience and other factors help determine the final salary we offer which may vary from the original range posted. 

Additionally, all permanent team members are eligible to participate in various benefits plans as part of their overall compensation package.

Salary Range: 

$165,000 - 195,000 USD
