A little about the position:
Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for maintaining production equipment, facilities, and preventive maintenance. Starting pay is $32.57 per hour.
Some of What You Will Do:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Design and fabricate supporting structures to include but not limited to, frames, tables, workstation aids, etc.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Carefully read manuals and diagrams of equipment and interpret them to understand how to operate and maintain them properly.
- Prioritize daily work orders according to their level of performance.
- Schedule and conduct preventative maintenance.
- Maintain inventory levels and stock of replacement parts for shop equipment.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.
What You Bring to the Table: (Qualifications)
- 2 – 5 years manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Welding skills required (certification or equivalent experience)
- Working knowledge of CNC equipment & operations
- Experience with building maintenance; electrical, plumbing and structural knowledge
- Heavy equipment experience including skid steer and back hoe
- Knowledge of mechanical maintenance process.
- Good overall understanding of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems as well as HVAC, fluid pumps, air motors, etc. Certification(s) a plus!
- Critical thinking ability to troubleshoot and detect malfunctioning.
- Possess the discipline to execute tasks without supervision &/or procrastination.
- Good time management to work at a good pace, executing work orders and demands.
- Ability to handle and operate a variety of tools and heavy equipment including but not limited to, hand tools, power tools, air tools, forklift scissor lift and telehandler.
- Knowledge of safety precautions.
- Good human relations to relate cordially with all team members.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across US geographic markets. Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, knowledge, skills, education, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
