A little about the position:

Job Summary

The Director, Organizational Effectiveness & Culture is responsible for driving enterprise-wide culture transformation and organizational effectiveness initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, leadership capability, organizational performance, and alignment to business strategy. Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and an architect of organizational change, this role partners closely with executives, leaders, and HR teams to identify opportunities for culture evolution and translate them into sustainable business outcomes.

Unlike a traditional organizational development or consulting role, this leader is expected to be deeply embedded within the business, developing a firsthand understanding of organizational challenges, workforce dynamics, and leadership needs. The Director will proactively identify opportunities to improve culture, leadership effectiveness, collaboration, accountability, and employee experience, then personally lead the design, development, implementation, and adoption of solutions.

This role owns culture initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring that programs, training, workshops, and change interventions drive measurable and lasting behavior change across the organization.

Some of What You Will Do:

Culture Transformation Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of the organization's culture strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and long-term workforce priorities.
  • Ongoing assessment of the organizational culture through employee feedback, engagement data, focus groups, observations, and leadership discussions.
  • Translate executive defined cultural beliefs into business processes, leadership behaviors, management practices, employee experiences and operational routines.
  • Identify cultural barriers, leadership challenges, organizational inefficiencies, and employee experience opportunities before they become business challenges.
  • Develop and implement initiatives that strengthen accountability, collaboration, communication, leadership effectiveness, performance, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with executive leaders to define, communicate, and reinforce organizational values, leadership expectations, and desired behaviors.
  • Serve as a visible culture champion who actively influences and shapes organizational norms and behaviors.
  • Act as an internal consultant and strategic advisor while maintaining accountability for implementation and results.
  • Ensure cultural principles become embedded within Latham’s operating cadence.

Enterprise Change Leadership

  • Lead enterprise-wide change management efforts supporting strategic business initiatives, organizational transformations, and cultural evolution.
  • Develop change strategies, stakeholder engagement plans, communication frameworks, adoption plans, and success measures.
  • Coach leaders and managers to effectively lead teams through periods of change and uncertainty.
  • Build organizational change capability by introducing frameworks, tools, and practices that improve adaptability and resilience.
  • Monitor adoption, reinforce desired behaviors, and remove barriers to ensure change initiatives become embedded in day-to-day operations.
  • Drive sustainable outcomes rather than one-time interventions by remaining actively engaged throughout the implementation lifecycle.

Leadership Development & Learning

  • Design and facilitate leadership development programs focused on changing leadership, organizational effectiveness, communication, coaching, influence, and team performance.
  • Develop workshops, learning experiences, toolkits, and resources that strengthen leadership effectiveness and support desired culture outcomes.
  • Facilitate executive offsites, leadership team sessions, strategic planning workshops, manager training, and organizational effectiveness discussions.
  • Translate business and culture challenges into targeted learning solutions that build organizational capability.
  • Partner with leaders to create actionable development plans and support implementation beyond the classroom experience.

Business Partnership & Culture Execution

  • Develop deep partnerships with leaders across functions and levels to understand operational realities, workforce challenges, and business priorities.
  • Spend significant time engaging directly with teams and leaders to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging organizational needs.
  • Convert observations and insights into actionable culture and effectiveness initiatives.
  • Personally lead the creation of content, communications, workshops, learning materials, facilitation plans, and implementation strategies.
  • Establish clear accountability measures and follow-through mechanisms to ensure initiatives achieve intended outcomes.
  • Serve as a hands-on leader who balances strategic thinking with practical execution.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to develop culture storytelling, leader communications, employee campaigns, change narratives, leadership messaging, and enterprise engagement strategies.

Systems & Process Integration

  • Embed cultural beliefs into talent management, onboarding, succession planning, performance management, leadership development, recognition, communications, and employee engagement programs.
  • Partner with HR, Communications, and executive leadership to ensure business systems reinforce desired cultural behaviors.

Measurement & Analytics

  • Establish metrics and success measures for culture, leadership, and organizational effectiveness initiatives.
  • Analyze engagement results, turnover trends, leadership effectiveness indicators, and organizational health measures.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine interventions and prioritize future initiatives.
  • Regularly communicate progress, outcomes, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership.
