Position Summary

The Licensed Industrial Mechanic is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production and facility equipment. This role plays a critical part in maximizing equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting safe and efficient manufacturing operations.

You will work on a variety of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and automated production systems while contributing to preventive maintenance initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical equipment issues.
• Diagnose equipment failures and perform root cause analysis.
• Respond to unplanned equipment downtime and emergency breakdowns.
• Perform equipment installations, modifications and upgrades.
• Assist with PLC diagnostics and troubleshooting of automated equipment.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Execute and support preventive maintenance programs.
• Perform equipment inspections and plant walk-throughs.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and equipment performance.
• Recommend corrective actions and equipment modifications to reduce downtime.

Safety & Compliance

• Actively participate in all plant safety initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety and environmental policies.
• Identify and address unsafe equipment or operating conditions.
• Support a strong culture of safety and continuous improvement throughout the facility.

Maintenance Planning & Coordination

• Prioritize maintenance activities to support operational requirements.
• Coordinate repairs with equipment manufacturers, vendors and contractors.
• Assist in sourcing replacement parts and maintenance solutions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders using MaintainX CMMS.

Qualifications

Required

• Licensed Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A
• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities
• Experience working with:
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Pneumatic systems
  • Mechanical drives and power transmission components
  • Industrial production equipment
• Ability to read equipment manuals, drawings and schematics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Preferred

• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment
• Manufacturing experience in a fast-paced production environment
• CMMS experience (MaintainX or similar systems)
• Welding and fabrication experience
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge
