Product Designer, Feature Management and Enterprise

Remote - US

About the Job:

We’re looking for a talented and curious Product Designer to join our team and contribute to the enhancement and evolution of LaunchDarkly’s Feature Management and Enterprise experiences.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of our platform: helping to design critical tools used by developers and enterprise teams every day to manage and control software releases. You’ll be involved in designing workflows that balance technical power with clarity, supporting users from small teams to global enterprises. This is a great role for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, understands developer mindsets and needs, and loves translating technical workflows into elegant, usable experiences beyond just the UI.

Working closely with staff designers, product managers and engineers to explore user needs and define problems, you will deliver elegant and delightful solutions. This is a high-impact role that offers space to grow your design skillset while contributing meaningfully to our roadmap. You will contribute directly to execution by bringing design craft, collaboration, and iteration to the table.

Responsibilities:

  • Work on the design of end-to-end user experiences (from discovery through delivery and iteration), covering both feature management workflows and enterprise expansion.

  • Translate complex, technical problem spaces into intuitive, testable UX patterns.

  • Conduct and apply user research, usability testing, and data insights to inform design decisions and influence product strategy.

  • Deliver high-quality design artifacts (user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity visuals) that balance user needs with technical feasibility.

  • Work with engineering and product partners to ensure high-quality implementation and tight iteration loops.

  • Collaborate deeply with other designers (participating in design critiques and independent reviews) to maintain consistency across the LaunchDarkly platform and contribute to our design system.

  • Advocate for feature management and enterprise user needs in platform-wide discussions and initiatives. Be the trusted voice of the user: you have strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire others.

About You:

  • Team-Oriented: You excel at collaborating across the company. You can move easily between business stakeholders, product management and development partners.

  • Great Communicator: You have a natural ability to build relationships with cross-functional team members and are skilled at advocating for the best user experience.

  • A Believer: You understand that technology can simplify, delight and enhance our lives and hope to build transformative innovation through your career.

  • Startup Mentality: You thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment where you balance multiple projects and can prioritize your work both short and long term.

  • Driven: You are motivated to achieve success both at work and in your personal life.

  • Commercially Aware: You understand how design ties to business objectives, understand target audience profiles and insights, and incorporate these into effective design solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience as a product designer, ideally in technology-forward Enterprise SaaS software.

  • Proficiency with Figma and other modern design tools, including AI prototyping tools.

  • A portfolio of shipped work that demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, user-centered design processes, and impactful outcomes (ideally focused on both the Administrator and the Developer personas).

  • While Product Designers at LaunchDarkly own work on the end-to-end design of product experiences, we don't expect you to be an expert in every skill a designer may possess. You should, however, have strong foundational design skills, and be developing expertise in one or two specific areas.

  • Lifelong learner, always looking to grow and improve at your craft.

  • Able to autonomously handle multiple, potentially technically complex projects at once.

  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

  • Great storyteller and presenter of your own design work.

Pay:

Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 3:

About LaunchDarkly:

Modern software delivery was supposed to be the foundation for a thriving digital business but reality has proven otherwise. Slow, inefficient development cycles, costly outages, and fragmented customer experiences are preventing developers from building their best software. The LaunchDarkly platform helps developers innovate on new features faster while protecting them with a safety valve to instantly rewind when things go wrong. Developers can target product experiences to any customer segment and maximize the business impact of every feature. And by gradually rolling out new application components, they escape nightmare "big-bang" technology migrations.

The LaunchDarkly platform was built to guide engineers to the next frontier of DevOps by:

  • Improving the velocity and stability of software releases, without the fear of end customer outages
  • Delivering targeted experiences by easily personalizing features to customer cohorts
  • Maximizing the business impact of every feature through the ability to experiment and optimize
  • Coordinating the release and optimization of software to provide consistent experiences across mobile platforms and device types
  • Improving the effectiveness and productivity of engineering teams, by providing insights into engineering cadence and stability

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Form CC-305
Page 1 of 1
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
