FP&A Analyst
About the Job:
As a Financial Analyst / Senior Financial Analyst on the Strategic Finance team, you will be a critical contributor to financial planning, reporting, and operational insight. You will work closely with Accounting and other cross-functional teams to support month-end close, deliver monthly reporting, and build out financial models and analysis. You will become an expert user of Adaptive and are motivated to leverage AI tools or automation to increase productivity and insight. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in finance or analytics, strong analytical rigor, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity.
Responsibilities:

Lead or support Strategic Finance in month-end close and monthly forecasting.

Lead or support monthly financial reporting and commentary to leadership.

Become a power user of Adaptive: manage forecasts, and build/extend Adaptive models.

Identify opportunities to incorporate AI, automation, or process improvements to increase speed, accuracy, and scalability.

Conduct ad hoc financial and business analysis to support strategic initiatives, business reviews, and cross-functional decision-making.

Continuously monitor and validate data integrity; flag anomalies, investigate root causes, and correct issues.

Actively participate in process documentation, knowledge sharing, and team learning.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, or related role (preferably in SaaS / tech)

Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and an emphasis on accuracy

Ability to work quickly while maintaining quality and consistency

Comfortable problem-solving in ambiguity and adapting to a fast-changing environment

Learns quickly and seeks feedback for growth

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

Strong spreadsheet skills

Prior business partnering or stakeholder management experience

Strong verbal and written communication skills (able to distill complex analyses into clear insights)

Experience with financial planning / FP&A tools (e.g. Adaptive, Anaplan, Planful)

Exposure to automation / AI tools, data pipelines, or scripting (Python, SQL)
Pay:
Target pay ranges based on Geographic Zones* for Level 2:
- Zone 1: San Francisco/Bay Area or NYC Metropolitan Area, Boston, Seattle - $84,000 - $116,000**
- Zone 2: Irvine, LA, Monterey, Santa Barbara, Santa Rosa, Austin, Portland, Philadelphia, Chicago - $76,000 - 104,000**
- Zone 3: All other US locations - $71,000 - $98,000**
LaunchDarkly operates from a place of high trust and transparency; we are happy to state the pay range for our open roles to best align with your needs. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
*Within the United States, our geographic pay zones are defined by counties surrounding major metropolitan areas.
