Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure the reliability and performance of systems.
- Design and implement automated monitoring, alerting, and reporting systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, minimizing downtime and impact on users.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code for deployment and configuration management.
- Conduct performance analysis and capacity planning for infrastructure components.
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production issues.
- Collaborate in the design and implementation of scalable and fault-tolerant systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in site reliability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code concepts and tools.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages like Python, Bash, or Go.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Understanding of networking principles and protocols.
- Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure design.
- Previous experience with incident response and post-incident analysis.
- Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Certified Administrator).
