Automation QA / Testing Engineer

Overview: we are seeking an Automation QA / Testing Engineer to address the DevOps challenges associated with their custom manufacturing software. This role will focus on automating functional testing to streamline the software upgrade process and reduce manual testing efforts.

Please note that 

  • This job will require your availability from Monday to Friday, 7.30 to 15.30 PST
  • Length of engagement estimated in 18 months
  • Estimated starting date: November 1st, 2024

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement automated testing frameworks for custom software.
  • Develop and execute automated test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Identify and resolve issues with testing automation, ensuring reliable test coverage.
  • Provide detailed reports on testing results and work with development teams to address any defects.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and tools.

 

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in QA automation, with a focus on functional testing.
  • Proficiency with testing tools like Inflectra or similar.
  • Experience in integrating automated testing into DevOps pipelines.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
