Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements for Splunk solutions.
  • Design and implement Splunk searches, dashboards, and reports to meet specific needs.
  • Develop custom scripts and applications to enhance Splunk functionality.
  • Integrate Splunk with other systems and data sources for comprehensive log analysis.
  • Configure and optimize Splunk installations for performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Splunk implementation.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and other IT teams.
  • Stay updated on Splunk releases, features, and best practices.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of Splunk projects.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Splunk Developer or in a similar role.
  • Splunk certification(s) relevant to the developer's area of expertise (e.g., Splunk Certified Developer).
  • Strong understanding of Splunk architecture and search processing.
  • Proficiency in SPL (Search Processing Language) and custom SPL commands.
  • Experience with Splunk data models, event types, and tags.
  • Knowledge of Splunk Enterprise Security and IT Service Intelligence.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for Splunk integration.
  • Experience with Splunk REST API for automation and integration.
  • Understanding of Splunk best practices for data onboarding and retention.
  • Previous experience with Splunk app development.
  • Knowledge of Splunk clusters and high-availability configurations.
