Role Overview
The Senior CloudOps Engineer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and optimizing cloud-based infrastructure to ensure reliability, security, and performance. This role focuses on operational support, incident response, and system resilience within an Azure environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 3 support for cloud infrastructure, troubleshooting escalated issues.
- Monitor cloud environments using tools like Datadog, Prometheus, and Azure Monitor.
- Implement disaster recovery and backup solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform security vulnerability remediation and ensure compliance with best practices.
- Manage patching and system updates to maintain infrastructure integrity.
- Support cloud operations during business hours, ensuring quick response times.
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance cloud reliability and performance.
Key Skills & Experience
- Strong expertise in Azure cloud operations and administration.
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Datadog, Azure Monitor).
- Proficiency in incident response and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability management, and remediation.
- Hands-on experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Scripting capabilities (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
