Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure Cloud environments. A relevant degree in Cybersecurity or related fields, along with certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, Security+, or CEH, is required.

This role involves a combination of strategic oversight and technical execution, playing a critical part in safeguarding our cloud infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data.


Required Skills & Experience

Technical Proficiency

  • Cloud Infrastructure: Deep experience with Microsoft Azure, including Azure Gov Cloud.

  • Security Tools: Hands-on experience with tools such as GitHub Advanced Security, SonarQube, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Crowdstrike, Zscaler, Tenable, Okta, Splunk.

  • DevSecOps & CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Terraform, GitHub, Docker, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Scripting & Automation: Proficiency in PowerShell, Python, and/or C++.

  • Operating Systems & Platforms: Experience with both Linux and Windows environments.

  • Other Tools: Working knowledge of Cloudflare, Jira, Confluence, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Endpoint Central MDM, F5, and general project management tools.

Frameworks & Standards

  • Understanding of NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) or NIST 800-53 is preferred.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute cybersecurity initiatives in alignment with the Director of Cloud Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Compliance.

  • Identify and implement best-in-class technical and security controls to enhance our cloud and application security posture.

  • Deploy, maintain, and continuously improve security tools and systems.

  • Drive the execution of the organization’s Recovery and Containment Strategies, especially within the Azure cloud ecosystem.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing (including grey-box techniques), and continuous threat monitoring.

  • Analyze findings, implement mitigation measures, and lead remediation efforts.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and regulations by developing, documenting, and enforcing security policies and procedures.

  • Generate detailed security reports and provide audit evidence when required.

  • Champion the implementation of IAM, WAF rules, and Microsoft Defender policies to secure cloud-based applications and infrastructure.

  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance organizational resilience and reduce cyber risk.
