- Replace Splunk with Dynatrace Logging
- Optimize and standardize APM and infrastructure monitoring on Dynatrace
- Configure and operationalize AI/ML-based observability features, such as AI Observer and automated anomaly detection.
- Develop integrations for third-party tools (e.g. Conviva, Sonarqube, GitHub, Harness).
- Establish a framework of standards and guardrails for long-term observability governance.
- Provide training, enablement, and documentation to the teams to ensure smooth handover and operational readiness.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace, including enterprise-scale implementations
- At least 3 years in technical leadership roles, partnering with multi-disciplinary development teams
- Proven success in observability tool migrations and change management
- Familiarity with GCP environments, cloud-native architectures, and DevOps/SRE practices
- One or more current Dynatrace certifications (Associate, Professional, or higher)
- Deep expertise in Dynatrace capabilities:
- RUM (Android, iOS, Web)
- APM on Grail
- Logging on Grail
- SLO and Error Budget configuration
- Metric, log, and trace correlation
- IaC setup and configuration via Terraform
- Strong command of:
- Full-stack observability best practices
- GCP monitoring (VMs, Containers, Cloud SQL)
- CI/CD tooling (Harness, GitHub)
- Infrastructure monitoring (Linux, Windows, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with legacy platforms (New Relic, Splunk) to facilitate seamless migration
Key Attributes
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong alignment with customer-centric monitoring principles
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outcomes aligned to business value (e.g. improved MTTD, MTTR, SLO adherence)
- Passion for enablement: committed to building internal capabilities and knowledge transfer
Deliverables
- Implementation of a fully operational Dynatrace-based monitoring platform, covering all environments (DEV → PROD)
- Clear documentation and runbooks for all configurations and processes
- Defined observability metrics and value assessment benchmarks (MTTD, MTTR, MTBF, DORA)
- Successful migration of New Relic and Splunk monitoring use cases to Dynatrace
