📌 Senior Shopify Developer – Liquid, OS 2.0, CRO (Full-time, Remote)

Kick off your next career move with Launchpad! We're looking for a hands-on, autonomous eCommerce engineer ready to own our Shopify storefront end to end in a fast-paced, global environment. If you’re passionate about performance, conversion, and clean Liquid, this might be the opportunity for you.

🗓 Start date: September 15th, 2025
📆 Contract type: Indefinite, Remote
🌐 Work hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30 to 16.30 PST

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing

  • Own the Shopify storefront end-to-end: build, customize, and maintain Online Store 2.0 themes (Liquid/JSON, sections/blocks, metafields/metaobjects) to enable fast iteration and higher conversion.
  • Boost performance: reduce render-blocking resources, implement critical CSS, image/CDN strategy, and third-party script hygiene to improve Core Web Vitals (LCP/CLS/INP).
  • Integrate analytics & marketing: set up/maintain GA4, pixels, A/B testing platforms, and marketing automation; define tracking plans and validate data quality for trustworthy insights.
  • Ship with design quality: translate Figma into responsive, accessible UI; maintain a predictable release cadence and clear documentation.
  • Troubleshoot quickly: diagnose production issues, roll back safely, and keep a clean theme/app ecosystem for reliability and scalability.
  • Experiment for growth: implement and monitor A/B tests; report learnings tied to KPIs like CVR, AOV, and RPV.

✅ What You Need to Succeed

Must-haves

  • 6+ years of Shopify development with deep expertise in Liquid and front-end (HTML, CSS, modern JS/ES6+).
  • Strong command of Online Store 2.0 (sections/blocks), metafields/metaobjects, and theme app extensions.
  • Solid experience with Shopify APIs (Admin REST/GraphQL, Storefront), webhooks, and third-party integrations.
  • Proven performance optimization skills (defer/async, lazy loading, bundling, image strategy).
  • Demonstrated autonomy/ownership as the sole developer; excellent debugging and problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with A/B testing and analytics; data-driven decision-making.
  • Advanced English (written and spoken) with clear, stakeholder-friendly communication.
  • Working understanding of e-commerce KPIs (CVR, AOV, RPV, checkout funnel) and how engineering impacts them.
  • Ability to prioritize and communicate trade-offs across Marketing, Ops, and UX.

Nice-to-haves

  • Shopify Plus experience (Checkout Extensibility, Shopify Functions, Flow, B2B).
  • Headless Shopify (Hydrogen/Remix or Next.js + Storefront API) and Oxygen hosting.
  • Custom app development (Polaris, App Bridge, app proxy) and advanced tracking (GTM server-side, Meta CAPI).
  • Background in CRO/e-commerce marketing and basic SEO best practices.
  • Experience mentoring engineers and appetite to grow a team over time.
