About the Role

Launchpad Technologies is looking for an experienced Senior Functional Consultant to join our Professional Services team and support the implementation of financial software solutions for international customers.

This role is ideal for someone who combines a strong understanding of Finance, Accounting, and Accounts Payable processes with hands-on experience implementing and configuring financial software.

You will work directly with customers to understand their business processes and requirements, translate those needs into effective system configurations, guide them through implementation, testing and adoption, and help ensure successful Go-Lives.

We are not looking for expertise in one specific ERP or platform. Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or other financial systems can all be relevant. What matters most is your ability to understand financial processes and translate them into practical software solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead functional activities throughout financial software implementations, from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, and Go-Live.
• Work directly with customers to understand their Finance and Accounting processes, challenges, and business requirements.
• Configure financial software based on customer requirements and agreed solution designs.
• Apply Finance, Accounting, and Accounts Payable knowledge to recommend practical solutions and best practices.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and translate business requirements into functional system configurations.
• Support testing and UAT, troubleshoot functional issues, and help customers resolve process or configuration gaps.
• Deliver customer training and support adoption of the implemented solution.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Technical Consultants, developers, and other implementation stakeholders.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, issues, and customer needs clearly throughout the implementation.
• Manage functional responsibilities across different customer engagements while maintaining quality and ownership.

What You Need to Succeed

Must-haves

• 5+ years of relevant experience implementing or consulting on financial software, ERP financial modules, or comparable business applications.
• Strong practical knowledge of Finance, Accounting, and Accounts Payable processes.
• Hands-on experience configuring financial software as part of customer implementations.
• Experience across multiple stages of the implementation lifecycle, such as discovery, requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing/UAT, training, Go-Live, and post-production support.
• Strong customer-facing consulting skills and the ability to communicate confidently with Finance stakeholders.
• Ability to understand business requirements, identify process gaps, and recommend appropriate functional solutions.
• Strong ownership, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced English for regular interaction with international customers and teams.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, JD Edwards, or other ERP/financial platforms.
• Experience with Accounts Payable automation or related financial process optimization.
• Previous Professional Services or consulting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field.

Importantly, a specific ERP, certification, or academic degree is not required when equivalent financial process knowledge and hands-on implementation expertise can be demonstrated.

Final Interview – Hiring Manager (60 minutes): A deeper conversation with our Professional Services leadership focused on your functional consulting expertise, financial process knowledge, implementation and project ownership, and approach to working with customers. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn more about the team, the Medius environment, day-to-day responsibilities, and expectations for the role.
