As a Marketing Operations Manager you will be a strategic partner to our rapidly growing business. 

This role plays a crucial role in driving marketing effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability. In this role you are responsible for the "behind-the-scenes" work that ensures marketing campaigns run smoothly, generate results, and contribute to user base engagement and health outcomes for our clients. You are the conductor of the marketing orchestra, ensuring all parts work together harmoniously and effectively.

The Marketing Operations Manager plays a critical role in maximizing the value of League’s MarTech stack. You act as the bridge between marketing strategy and technology, ensuring that the right tools are in place to support marketing goals and drive efficiency. 

The ideal candidate will be passionate about our mission, creative in driving business value, and capable of operating with high comfortability in an ambiguous environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with data, product, engineering and health solutions teams to drive the MarTech set up for clients, including creating data models/structure and other requirements to drive the desired engagement model 
  • Lead the enhancement of League’s MarTech tools to drive marketing objectives (integrating new tools, optimizing existing etc.)
  • Oversee the marketing automation strategy to ensure all set ups are standard and scalable (lift and shift culture). Actively contribute to a standard automation roadmap with member marketing 
  • Provide consulting to cross functional teams to improve the use of MarTech. Support triaging for complex issues
  • Collaborate with the Health Solutions Engagement Director to leverage marketing toolkit, including channels, messaging, journey’s, automation and triggers to drive shared KPIs 
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and external clients to build a marketing plan and marketing automation roadmap and execute projects and campaigns for customer communication and engagement opportunities that serve to drive active usage and conversion on key actions 
  • Develop best practices for campaign management, tools, execution and reporting that will scale for continued domestic and international growth
  • Leverage marketing automation platforms to streamline repetitive tasks,
  • Plan, and execute our CRM calendar, while driving continuous improvements through testing & optimization (creative, copy, send times, segmentation etc.)
  • Develop a robust customer segmentation and personalization strategy
  • Map and optimize customer journeys
  • Lead marketing operations specialist(s) to effectively execute campaigns 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Marketing Operations requirements. The candidate will be expected to develop a perspective on optimal use of MarTech at League.

Desired Outcomes

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement marketing strategies:  define goals, target audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs).  
  • Analyze marketing data and performance: track and measure campaign effectiveness, identify trends, and provide insights to optimize future strategies.  
  • Analyze and optimize marketing workflows, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive operational excellence and marketing effectiveness by creating documentation, setting reporting standards and monitoring processes / tools 
  • Continuously monitor and optimize the MarTech stack, ensuring it's performing efficiently and meeting evolving marketing needs. 
  • Ensure data from various MarTech tools is properly integrated and standardized. 
  • Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
  • Continually optimize key metrics (e.g. open rates, click-through-rates, traffic) of member marketing campaigns across marketing channels
  • Work closely with health solutions, data, product and other teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.

About you:

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on marketing operations, campaign management, and marketing technology
  • Experience in managing operational teams
  • Previous experience with MarTech integration and Marketing Automation (CRM, Data, Channels, Product Features) - SFMC in particular a plus
  • Strong ability to understand MarTech architecture and cross-functional dependencies 
  • A strong understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and tactics is essential
  • Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and reporting, with the ability to extract actionable insights from marketing data.
  • Ability to manage capacity, workloads and sprint type assignments. JIRA management as a plus 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.  
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements (MarTech set up needs)
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders, multiple projects and cross-functional dependencies 
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail 
  • Strong leadership skills. A bility to influence decision makers without direct authority
  • Understanding of international data laws (CASL, GDPR, etc.) and proficiency using analytics. SQL skills are an asset
  • A committed team player and collaborator; you understand that in order to build something special, we need to make each other better
  • A self-motivated, optimistic learner who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and can work independently even when the path isn’t clear
  • A creative problem-solver; you have an organized, analytical mind and can overcome challenges, in a thoughtful and meaningful way

  • Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
  • Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team

CANADA APPLICANTS ONLY: The Canada-specific compensation range below for this full-time position is exclusive of bonus, equity and benefits. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. $77,400 - $116,200 CAD
