The Role:
The General Accountant will play a key role in the Finance team, supporting various accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. You will assist with month-end close, account reconciliations, accounts payable, and other financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional looking to grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts and validating financial results.
- Assisting with government filings to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Managing and tracking internal development costs to ensure proper accounting treatment.
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Assisting the Accounting Manager to support purchasing and accounts payable processes.
- Assisting with financial analysis as needed to support expense tracking and reporting.
- Supporting audit and compliance activities by preparing necessary documentation and assisting with external audits.
- Supporting special projects and other tasks as needed.
About You:
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- Equivalent relevant experience in accounting is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.
- Experience with Airbase purchasing would be considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Sheet and other financial tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Security-Related Responsibilities
- Ensure access management is performed in compliance with the employee's role and responsibilities
- Responsibility and accountability for executing League's policies and procedures within the department/ team
- Notification of HR, Legal, Compliance & Security of any incidents, breaches or policy violations
- Compliance with Information Security Policies

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. $62,300 - $93,500 CAD
