
Quality Assurance Lead

- Lead and mentor a small team of QA testers, providing guidance, support, and fostering their professional growth.
- Drive day-to-day testing efforts for internal projects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely execution.
- Develop detailed test plans for various testing projects, encompassing functional, end-to-end, back-end/API, and regression testing.
- Provide accurate testing estimates and identify dependencies required for successful test execution.
- Allocate resources effectively to optimize testing activities and maximize team efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with external clients, product teams, and engineers to thoroughly understand project scope, requirements, and identify testing dependencies.
- Oversee and support external User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, defining processes and tools, triaging UAT defects, and conducting root cause analysis for escaped defects.
- Review product requirements (both internal and customer-facing) to ensure clarity and testability.
- Rigorously review test cases for accuracy, completeness, and optimal test coverage.
- Continuously expand and enhance our testing processes, providing training and mentorship to team members to uplift their skills.
- Monitor testing progress and results diligently, proactively raising risks and escalations to Project and Engineering Managers as needed.
- Perform thorough defect root cause analysis on escaped defects from both customer UAT and production environments.
- Identify opportunities for continuous process improvements with a strong focus on enhancing testing quality and significantly reducing defect leakage.
- Contribute significantly to defining and refining the test automation approach for various projects.
- Conduct comprehensive test plan reviews and facilitate seamless Customer UAT hand-offs.
- Work in close partnership with the Engineering team, tracking development progress and identifying any potential risks or issues related to quality deliverables.
- Actively participate in Engineering/scrum ceremonies, providing valuable QA insights.
- Generate clear and informative execution and defect dashboard reports to communicate testing status effectively.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 3+ years in a dedicated Test Lead or similar leadership role.
- Expertise in both manual testing, including functional, integration, end-to-end (E2E), and regression testing.
- Proven hands-on experience in test automation, including running tests and analyzing results.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive and deliver in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Extensive experience working in external client-facing roles, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex business requirements into comprehensive test scenarios, including both positive and negative testing.
- Experience with testing mobile applications is a plus.

This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for base salaries for the position across all Canadian locations. The salary range is intentional to account for the performance and career progressions a Leaguer will experience in the role throughout their time at League. Where in the band you may land is determined by job-related skills/experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range specific to your skills and experience during the hiring process.

$117,300 - $143,300 CAD
