Overview of the Role
As a Product Analyst at QuillBot, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data to drive product decisions and strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze user behavior, identify trends, and generate actionable insights. Your work will directly inform growth, retention, and monetization efforts, ensuring that QuillBot continues to provide high-value experiences for its users.
You will be responsible for maintaining high data quality standards, ensuring that analytics are properly instrumented, and continuously optimizing how we track and interpret key performance indicators. Additionally, you will support the marketing team in assessing the impact of lifecycle marketing initiatives and work to refine A/B testing strategies. This role requires a combination of analytical thinking, attention to detail, and strong communication skills to translate complex data into clear, strategic recommendations.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze lifecycle marketing performance, identifying trends and providing recommendations to optimize user conversion, engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, marketers and designers to interpret data, shaping growth, retention, and monetization strategies with actionable insights.
- Ensure analytics reliability and well-structured data to generate meaningful product and business insights.
- Define best practices for product instrumentation, collaborating with engineering to refine tracking methods and optimize data coverage.
- Track and report key KPIs, analyzing trends, identifying opportunities, and recommending strategic adjustments to improve user engagement and outcomes.
- Support product managers by interpreting data, resolving analytics issues, and applying insights to optimize product decisions.
- Creating smart and optimized solutions for recurring use-cases through automation/ self-serve platforms.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a data/product analyst role, preferably at a growth-stage consumer SaaS company.
- Strong proficiency in clickstream analytics tools such as Amplitude and Mixpanel, leveraging them to derive meaningful insights.
- Advanced SQL skills for extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large datasets.
- Expertise in designing and analyzing A/B tests, applying statistical rigor to validate hypotheses and refine product and marketing strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of distilling complex data insights into clear, actionable narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive problem solver with a sharp analytical mindset, adept at diagnosing data inconsistencies and uncovering growth opportunities through deep analysis.
- Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and reliability in data analysis, reporting, and insights generation.
- Highly collaborative, fostering strong cross-functional relationships to drive data-informed decisions that enhance user experience and business outcomes.
- Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in Business, Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field.

We have a market-based pay structure that varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed. You may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program and may be offered benefits, and other types of compensation.
