The Role
As a Product Designer at LearnLux, you’ll thrive at the intersection of craft, strategy, and systems. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where you’ll operate as a design leader embedded in a team of excellent product thinkers, marketers, engineers, and other designers. You’ll independently identify opportunities, bring bold ideas to life, and elevate the overall product experience across our platform.
This role requires a strong product mindset. You’ll deeply understand our users, the business, and the technical landscape—and use that knowledge to push our platform forward. You’ll work across teams and disciplines, not just to design features, but to shape what we build and why. You’ll set a high bar for UX quality, consistency, and innovation while mentoring others and influencing design culture throughout the company.At LearnLux, great design is about creating experiences that drive engagement, build trust, and empower users to take action on their financial goals. This role is 100% remote within the US and reports to the Head of Engineering.Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate across LearnLux to uncover opportunities and design elegant, scalable solutions—partnering with product, engineering, marketing, operations, and customer teams.
- Own complex, strategic design initiatives, including 0 to 1 projects, design systems, and major product evolutions.
- Drive innovation independently - bringing product ideas to the table, prototyping new approaches, and validating them through user research and iteration.
- Help level up the quality of design across the company - establishing patterns, championing best practices, and contributing to the broader design system.
- Influence product direction by contributing to roadmaps and shaping strategy with product, engineering, and executive partners.
- Partner, mentor, and support designers and front-end engineers through feedback, pairing, and design critiques.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, including AI, and bring in fresh perspectives that push us forward.
Qualifications & Experience
- 8+ years of experience designing digital products, preferably in Fintech or EdTech.
- Deep proficiency in Figma, Pendo, and BI Tools(Looker, Tableau, etc)
- A proven track record of owning complex product experiences end-to-end and delivering elegant, user-centered solutions.
- Confidence in navigating ambiguity and defining problems as well as solving them.
- Strong user-centered design expertise, with a deep understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design.
- Exceptional craft in interaction design, systems thinking, and visual polish.
- Proven ability to rapidly work autonomously, generate ideas, and get buy-in across disciplines.
- Experience mentoring other designers and shaping design culture.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- A strong portfolio showcasing problem-solving skills, user research insights, and high-quality UI/UX design work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with accessibility best practices and designing inclusive experiences.
- Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Working knowledge of Lottie for animations.
- Previous Fintech, wellness platform, or benefits experience is a big plus.
- Experience utilizing AI in a design process, as well as, in a product.

The pay range for this role is listed below. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and local cost of labor.
Salary Range
$120,000 - $175,000 USD
