Technical Support Specialist (Advanced Support)

Do you have a passion for solving complex, technical issues? Are you skilled in handling customers? If so, we are looking for a number of Engineers for our Technical Support Department at the Data Center in Haarlem.

The Department

Our Technical Support Department (TSD) is part of the Customer Care organization and is the glue between our 1^st and 3^rd level operation teams. We have 7 teams, including 2 day teams, in a rotating 24*7 shift.

What is the role about?

• Provide technical guidance and assistance to 1st- and 2nd-level support teams.
• Handle escalations from other departments, such as Customer Success, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Engineering, to identify and implement optimal solutions for our customers.
• Undertake small side projects aimed at improving workflows within the technical support department.

What we’re looking for:

Our ideal candidate has the following:

• Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments.
• Experience with virtualization products (e.g., VPS and Private Clouds).
• Familiarity with Control Panel Software (e.g., cPanel, Plesk).
• Knowledge of domains and web hosting (e.g., DNS, SSL).
• Understanding of mail server configurations.
• Basic knowledge of hosting-related hardware and a foundational understanding of networking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
