Overview:

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead and scale one of our B2B products with full P&L responsibility. Ledger has a suite of insuretech products that serve the emerging insurance securitization market that connects insurance risk to institutional capital. The products are all designed to leverage a data pipeline with an overlay of analytics and AI/LLM-based features to provide unprecedented transparency and standardization for insurers and institutional investors to what has historically been an opaque industry. This position will report to the CEO. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing a new B2B product, bringing it to market, and achieving scale in a tech start-up environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership:
    • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve ambitious growth and profitability targets.
    • Lead a multi-disciplinary product team including engineering, design, marketing, business development, and account management.
    • Manage key profit and loss (P&L) accounts, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure financial health and operational efficiency.
    • Innovate and refine offerings to meet market demands.
    • Stay ahead of industry trends and drive initiatives that position Ledger as a leader in its space.
  • Team Management & Development:
    • Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team to foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration.
    • Set clear performance goals and provide regular feedback to support professional development.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring processes are efficient and aligned with business objectives.
    • Leverage data-driven insights to streamline operations, enhance product offerings, and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Business Development & Partnerships:
    • Identify and pursue new market opportunities.
    • Forge and manage strategic relationships with key partners, customers, and stakeholders to expand Ledger’s market presence.
  • Market & Industry Expertise:
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
    • Represent Ledger at industry events and conferences to build brand awareness and establish thought leadership.

Key Background Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in revenue management, or product leadership roles, with 5+ years in a technical product ownership or general manager role.
    • Proven track record in scaling businesses, driving revenue growth, and achieving financial targets in a start-up environment.
    • Deep understanding of technical product revenue models.
    • Subject matter expertise in one or more of the following industries: SaaS, Fintech, or Insuretech.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong strategic planning, financial acumen, and analytical skills.
    • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to inspire teams and present effectively to stakeholders.
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with a results-driven and proactive approach to problem-solving.
    • Expertise in product development and innovation, with a focus on customer-centric solutions.
