Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.


Legend Biotech is seeking Executive Director - Carvykti Brand Head (US and Global Marketing) as part of the Marketing team based in Somerset, NJ. 

Role Overview

The Executive Director - Carvykti Brand Lead will play a pivotal role in delivering the promise of CARVYKTI to Multiple Myeloma patients globally, with a primary focus on the US market. This position will be responsible for leading both US and Global marketing strategies, collaborating with Legend's commercial partner Johnson & Johnson on various aspects of brand development, launch preparedness, and execution. The role will serve as the primary marketing point for Carvykti at Legend, building core marketing capabilities in cell therapy across US and Global markets. This position will be based in Somerset, NJ.

Key Responsibilities  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive US and Global marketing strategies for CARVYKTI
  • Lead a team of marketers to support CARVYKTI adoption in 2L+ relapsed, refractory multiple myeloma across US and Global markets
  • Maximize commercial potential and drive post-launch brand performance in all markets
  • Create, implement, and monitor key performance indicators for both US and Global markets
  • Prepare market conditions for rapid product adoption of new indications across regions
  • Collaborate with commercial analytics team to derive market insights, identify key business questions, and understand market dynamics to continuously improve marketing strategies
  • Foster strong partnerships with Legend/Johnson & Johnson global commercial teams to share best practices and ensure alignment
  • Work collaboratively across cross-functional leadership teams, including sales, market access, and commercial excellence
  • Engage appropriately with legal and regulatory partners, demonstrating a thorough understanding of US and Global regulatory and commercial compliance environments
  • Monitor the competitive landscape globally to quickly identify opportunities and threats
  • Develop and deliver high-impact presentations to senior management and other internal/external stakeholders
  • Drive innovation in marketing approaches and tactics to maintain CARVYKTI's competitive edge in the rapidly evolving cell therapy market
  • Spearhead the strategic direction and operational execution of the Legend Thought Leader Liaisons (TLLs) team
  • Develop and implement comprehensive KOL engagement plans aligned with Carvykti's market positioning and growth objectives
  • Establish and nurture strong, collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the oncology and CAR-T cell therapy fields across the United States
  • Create a robust network of influential Carvykti advocates within the medical community

Requirements

  • BA/BS required; MBA strongly preferred
  • Extensive US and Global marketing experience with a proven track record of successfully managing large brands required
  • Strong scientific background with deep knowledge of Hematology/Oncology; experience with CAR-T/cellular therapy strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated initiative, creativity, strategic capabilities, and ability to work effectively in complex, rapidly changing global environments
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate a vision for the brand that energizes all functional areas and stakeholders across regions
  • Minimum of 15+ years of industry experience, including 7+ years of oncology/hematology sales & marketing experience, with demonstrable global exposure
  • Proven ability to think strategically, align stakeholders, and drive performance in diverse markets
  • Exceptional communication skills with a track record of delivering complex messages to various internal and external customers through influential presentations
  • Experience in building and leading high-performing, diverse teams across multiple geographies
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and drive results in matrix environments
  • Adaptability and resilience to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving therapeutic area
