Legend Biotech entered into a global collaboration agreement with Janssen, one of the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, to jointly develop and commercialize ciltacabtagene autolecuel (cilta-cel). Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.
Legend Biotech is seeking a Medical Affairs Co-Op as part of the Medical Affairs team based in Somerset, NJ.
Role Overview
The Medical Affairs Co-Op will support and execute key initiatives that advance the organization’s scientific, clinical, and strategic objectives with a primary focus on real world evidence generation. This opportunity provides hands-on experience across the medical affairs spectrum, working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of scientific integrity and medical excellence.
Co-Op Duration: 12 months
Key Responsibilities
- Support and operationalize real-world evidence (RWE) generation planning and activities.
- Participate in key opinion leader (KOL) engagements to understand evidence needs and data gaps.
- Assist in medical content and resource development.
- Contribute to publication planning process.
- Support medical information functions, ensuring compliance with medical and regulatory standards.
- Ability to travel ~25%.
Requirements
- Post-graduate PharmD, MD, DO, or PhD in a biosciences field.
- Strong foundation in clinical research, pharmacology, biomedical science, or related disciplines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex scientific information clearly and accurately.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills; ability to interpret scientific data and clinical evidence.
- High level of professionalism, collaborative mindset, and scientific rigor.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with common computer-based tools and platforms.
- Curiosity and a proactive learning mindset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ease in engaging with external and internal stakeholders.
