
HR Generalist (Contractor)

Legend Biotech is seeking HR Generalist (Contractor) as part of the Human Resources team based in Raritan, NJ.
Role Overview
Legend Biotech is seeking a motivated and proactive HR Generalist to partner with our HR Business Partners and enhance the level of HR support we provide to our employees for our growing manufacturing site in Raritan, New Jersey. Reporting directly to the Site HR Head, this individual will support the day-to-day HR partnership for both transactional and tactical HR support in areas of Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, HR Policies and Compliance, and Talent Management programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the HR Business Partners in various HR programs, including talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, and employee relations.
- Partner with HR Business Partners on performance management cycles, including launching and closing each cycle and providing regular reporting during the program.
- Coaches and consults with managers on leave of absence, payroll, performance issues, and general/non-complex HR inquiries. Help determine root causes and recommend appropriate next steps consistent with company policies and state and federal laws.
- Drive the open requisition process from beginning to end, from budget and headcount approval. Assist with maintaining requisitions and recruiting information.
- Maintain employee records and HR databases. Generate HR reports and assist in analyzing HR metrics.
- Act as a resource for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, policies, and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR operations or a similar role.
- Experience with conducting employee relations cases
- Experience working in a highly collaborative environment, contributing to the success of the team.
- Ability to analyze data, documents, reports, etc., with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work through a problem with limited information and collaboratively drive towards solutions.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while delivering on commitments.
- Experience interacting with employees at various levels of the organization while consistently providing exceptional and professional customer service.
- Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
