Legend Biotech entered into a global collaboration agreement with Janssen, one of the pharmaceutical companies of Johnson & Johnson, to jointly develop and commercialize ciltacabtagene autolecuel (cilta-cel). Our strategic partnership is designed to combine the strengths and expertise of both companies to advance the promise of an immunotherapy in the treatment of multiple myeloma.

 

Legend Biotech is seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition, Carvykti as part of the Talent Acquisition team based in Somerset, NJ.

Role Overview

The Manager, Talent Acquisition, Carvykti, will act as a strategic advisor to business and HR leaders in support of Legend Biotech’s Pipeline functions. This individual will own and execute talent acquisition strategies across critical functions within Carvykti Business, driving business outcomes through proactive, data-driven recruitment. This individual will partner closely with HRBPs and hiring teams to ensure Legend attracts, engages, and hires top talent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Carvykti business leaders, as well as HR Business Partners (HRBPs), to understand workforce plans, organizational design, and capability needs, translating them into actionable talent acquisition strategies.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for critical and technical roles across Carvykti business, ensuring a streamlined, candidate-centric experience from intake through offer.
  • Develop and execute proactive, data-informed sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber, mission-aligned talent in a highly competitive life sciences market.
  • Provide insights on talent market trends, availability, and compensation benchmarks to influence hiring strategies and workforce planning decisions.
  • Manage search engagements, both internally and through external partners, with accountability for candidate quality, process integrity, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Partner closely with HRBPs and hiring managers to build diverse, high-performing teams while delivering a consistent and positive hiring manager and candidate experience.
  • Manage Carvykti business recruiting team members, including workload management, day-to-day coaching, and performance feedback.
  • Educate and coach hiring teams on structured interviewing techniques, recruitment strategy, and effective selection practices to ensure consistency and mitigate bias.
  • Drive compliance with internal recruiting processes and external regulatory standards; collaborate with HR and TA Operations to address issues and continuously improve practices.
  • Track and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source effectiveness, candidate quality) to identify areas for optimization and report insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with TA Operations and Talent Intelligence to build hiring dashboards and deliver actionable reporting to business and HR leaders.
  • Partner with TA Marketing and TA leadership on talent attraction campaigns, university or industry events, and relationship-building with strategic talent pools.
  • Represent Legend Biotech at relevant industry events, executive forums, and professional networks to elevate the company’s employer brand and strengthen long-term pipelines for critical and leadership roles.
  • This role operates with a moderate to high level of autonomy, with responsibility for both strategic and tactical decision-making within the scope of talent acquisition for Carvykti business. The incumbent is expected to exercise sound judgment, independently manage priorities, allocate resources, and lead initiatives aligned with business goals and the broader Talent Acquisition (TA) strategy.
  • The role will oversee recruitment-related budgets associated with search engagements within approved financial parameters. The incumbent is responsible for effective resource planning, including workload distribution across team members and managing external search partners to ensure cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
  • Oversight and higher-level approvals are required for decisions that have significant financial impact, represent strategic shifts in direction, or involve policy changes with broader organizational implications

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of talent acquisition experience, including at least 1 years in an external search firm and/or recruiting talent within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
  • Proven experience developing and executing strategic recruitment initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of full-cycle recruitment, advanced sourcing strategies, and current talent market trends.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions, identify patterns, and optimize recruitment effectiveness.
  • Excellent project management capabilities, with a track record of leading or contributing to complex recruitment projects and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while effectively managing multiple competing priorities.
  • Skilled in creating talent acquisition reports and presentations to support decision-making.
  • Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Greenhouse or Workday; experience with recruitment marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to analyze and present recruitment metrics, dashboards, and market insights.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and sourcing platforms such as SeekOut, BrightHire, and LinkedIn Talent Insights, with the ability to translate insights into actionable sourcing strategies.
  • Proven ability to leverage AI-powered tools and recruitment technologies to enhance candidate engagement, improve recruiter productivity, and drive data-informed hiring decisions.
  • Comfortable adopting and integrating new sourcing and talent intelligence platforms to support proactive planning and competitive talent mapping.

The base pay range below is what Legend Biotech USA Inc. reasonably expects to offer at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, qualifications, and geographic location. The company reserves the right to modify this range as needed and in accordance with applicable laws.

Other Types of Pay: Performance-based bonus and/or equity is available to employees in eligible roles.

Pay Range (Base Pay):

$123,605 - $162,232 USD

Please note: These benefits are offered exclusively to permanent full-time employees. Contractors are not eligible for benefits through Legend Biotech.

I (the candidate) enter into this Non-Disclosure Agreement (the “Agreement”) with Legend Biotech USA Inc. (the “Company”), effective as of the date of my acknowledgement below, for the purpose of enabling the Company to evaluate a possible employment relationship with me.

  1. Access to Company Confidential Information. I acknowledge that for the sole and limited purpose of evaluating a possible employment relationship with me, the Company might disclose, or enable me to have access to, certain Confidential Information of the Company, as defined below.  I agree that, except for purposes of evaluating a possible employment relationship with the Company or as expressly authorized in writing by the Company, I will (a) not use or disclose any Confidential Information; (b) keep all Confidential Information confidential at all times; and (c) not copy, reproduce or modify any Confidential Information.
  2. Definition of “Confidential Information.” For purposes of this Agreement, “Confidential Information” shall mean any and all information and materials provided to me by the Company, including without limitation, inventions, trade secrets, software code, product development and marketing strategies, ideas, processes, formulas, know-how, unpublished financial information, business plans, contractual relationships with third parties and operating strategies; memoranda, notes, records, drawings, manuals, disks, or other documents and media; and all embodiments, copies, extracts, and summaries thereof; provided, however, that “Confidential Information” shall not include information that: (a) is generally known or available to the public, or (b) is furnished to me by a third party who obtained such information using lawful means and without any restrictions on disclosure.
  3. Third Party Information. I agree that during the course of communications with the Company pursuant to this Agreement or in connection with my application and interviews for employment with the Company, I will not make any unauthorized use or disclosure to the Company of any confidential or proprietary information or trade secrets of any other person or entity to whom I have an obligation of confidentiality with respect to such information, including any current or former employer.  I further agree not to provide to the Company any materials or documents of any third party that are not generally available to the public.
  4. Remedies for Breach. I acknowledge that in the event of any breach of this Agreement, the Company will not have an adequate remedy in money or damages, and therefore the Company shall be entitled to obtain temporary, preliminary and/or permanent injunctive relief to redress any such breach, from any court of competent jurisdiction, and that the Company’s right to obtain such relief shall not limit its right to obtain other available remedies.
  5. General. The interpretation and enforcement of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.  This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties concerning the subject matters hereof; it supersedes any and all prior agreements or representations, written or oral, with respect to its subject matters; and it cannot be modified except in a written agreement signed by the Company.
