Legend Biotech is seeking an Early Career Talent Specialist as part of the Human Resources team based in Bridgewater, NJ.
Role Overview
Legend Biotech is seeking an Early Career Talent Specialist (Contract) to support the execution and scaling of our early career recruiting and leadership pipeline initiatives.
This role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment of interns, co-ops, and high-potential early career talent, while also coordinating university relations activities and supporting the development of external future-leader programs. The position will work closely with the Senior Manager and hiring leaders across R&D, Manufacturing, Commercial, Corporate Functions, and Medical Affairs to attract and assess top emerging talent aligned with Legend’s long-term capability and succession needs.
This individual will play a key role in delivering a high-quality candidate and intern experience and helping build a sustainable talent pipeline that supports Legend Biotech’s continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruiting for interns, co-ops, and early career high-potential program candidates across multiple business functions for FT Hi-Po Leadership Program.
- Design and execute targeted early-career sourcing strategies to identify, attract, and nurture talent pipeline for current & future needs.
- Leverage data and market insights to continuously improve candidate quality, diversity, and time-to-fill.
- Actively represent Legend Biotech at career fairs, information sessions, networking events, and targeted student organization engagements.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with top universities, faculty, and career services teams to strengthen long-term pipelines.
- Support the development of compelling early-career messaging and branding that highlights Legend’s culture, mission, and career opportunities.
- Coordinate logistics and execution for on-campus and virtual recruiting events.
- Serve as a thought partner and contribute to the design, execution, and continuous improvement of Legend’s intern and co-op programs.
- Support planning and delivery of structured intern/co-op experiences, including onboarding and orientation programming; intern engagement events; learning sessions; End-of-program feedback and evaluations.
- Contribute to the scaling and evolution of high-potential early-career programs, with particular focus on MBA, PhD, and MS/MA pipelines.
- Ability to travel during recruitment season – 15%
This role will have autonomy and influence in the following areas:
- Selection and hiring recommendations for high-potential early-career candidates
- Programmatic enhancements to improve the candidate and intern experience
- Recruitment process improvements and operational efficiencies
- Candidate communication strategy and best practices
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required; Human Resources, Business or Communications/Marketing preferred
Experience:
- 2-3 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition or Early Talent/University Recruitment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early-career recruiting models, intern/co-op programs, and university partnerships.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders, universities, and external vendors.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-directed, proactive, and motivated by building future talent pipelines
