Role Overview:

As the Stock Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management and stockroom operations to ensure product accuracy, organization, and efficiency throughout the store. Reporting directly to the Store Manager, this role is critical in supporting the sales team through effective inventory control, replenishment, and operational excellence. This person should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a passion for creating efficient processes and maintaining a best-in-class stock environment. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee all daily stockroom operations including shipment receiving, processing, ticketing, replenishment, transfers, and inventory organization
• Ensure all incoming merchandise is received accurately and processed in a timely manner according to company standards
• Maintain stockroom organization and cleanliness to maximize efficiency and support the customer experience
• Conduct regular cycle counts and inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy and identify discrepancies
• Investigate and resolve inventory variances while partnering with store and corporate teams as needed
• Monitor and execute replenishment processes to ensure the sales floor is fully stocked and presentation standards are maintained
• Support the Store Manager in preparing for and executing physical inventories
• Partner with the sales team to fulfill client requests, locate merchandise, and support daily selling activities
• Analyze inventory reports and communicate opportunities, concerns, and stock needs to store leadership
• Ensure all transfers, damages, returns, and inventory adjustments are processed accurately and within company guidelines
• Maintain operational compliance with loss prevention policies and inventory control procedures
• Train and coach associates on receiving processes, inventory management, organization standards, and operational best practices
• Lead by example and create a positive and productive work environment focused on accountability and teamwork
• Support visual merchandising initiatives by ensuring product is organized, accessible, and floor-ready
• Assist with store opening and closing procedures as needed
• Performs all other duties as directed by the Store Manager and corporate office
• Proactively works with corporate inventory, buying, and merchandising teams to ensure inventory levels, replenishment needs, and product flow support the needs of the business
• Utilizes company provided tools and systems to accurately manage inventory, reporting, and operational processes
• Maintain and replenish all store operating supplies, including but not limited to: shopping bags, tissue, hangers, office supplies, cleaning products, water, refreshments, and customer-facing amenities.
• Oversee weekly store cleaning schedules and coordinate with vendors to ensure the sales floor, stockroom, kitchen, and employee areas are maintained to company standards.
• Manage waste, recycling, and building service requests, including coordinating trash pickups and other facilities-related needs.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the store and back-of-house areas to identify maintenance, organization, and operational needs.

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS - REQUIRED

• 1 - 2 years retail stock, inventory, or operations experience with a luxury or contemporary retailer
• Previous supervisory experience preferred
• Strong understanding of inventory management, receiving processes, and stockroom organization
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify operational improvements
• Experience conducting inventory counts, cycle counts, and inventory reconciliations
• Ability to analyze inventory reports and take proactive action to support the business
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to lead and develop others
• Proficient with retail inventory systems and technology
• Ability to lift, carry, and move merchandise as required
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays
