Director of Product

Los Angeles, CA

About the job

About LettrLabs

LettrLabs is a direct mail automation platform that combines software, robotics, and proprietary data to produce handwritten and printed mail at scale. We are growing extremely quickly and expanding beyond home services into new industries.

The Role

We are hiring a Director of Product to lead our software platform and the team that builds it. You report directly to the CEO and manage three people:

  • Senior Product Manager: the client-facing platform and front-end experience

  • Senior Technical Product Manager: integrations, data, and attribution

  • UX (User Experience) Designer: design across both domains

Both of the product managers report to you.

You own the product roadmap for the software platform and have real influence on company strategy. The CEO is product-focused and stays deeply involved in product strategy, so working directly with the CEO at a high level is a major focus of this role. Expect to bring strong recommendations. In return, you get fast decisions, a clear mandate, room to run execution, and a team that ships.

This is a player-coach role. With a team of three, you will still write specs, run discovery, and get into the details yourself. As the company grows, so do the team and your scope.

We are an AI native company. Our software team leverages AI heavily and has increased its velocity 15x in the past year. We need a product leader who matches that: someone who uses AI just as aggressively to stay ahead of a fast-shipping engineering org, while making sure what we deliver is high quality.

This is an in-office role at our Los Angeles office in Marina del Rey.

Why Join Us

  • Report directly to the CEO and lead the product team at a company growing extremely quickly

  • Own the roadmap for our entire software platform, with real influence on company strategy

  • Work across software, robotics, and proprietary data, a combination few product leaders get to touch

  • Grow the team and your scope as the company scales

  • A fast-moving team with no unnecessary bureaucracy

  • Competitive compensation with meaningful equity

What You Will Do

  • Own the software platform roadmap: sequence the bets, define what success looks like, and make the tradeoff calls

  • Partner deeply with the CEO on product strategy, bringing recommendations grounded in customer insight and data

  • Lead and grow two PMs (Product Managers) and a UX designer, holding each PM accountable for outcomes and project management in their domain

  • Coordinate across front end, integrations, and data, resolving priority and capacity tradeoffs with the CTO

  • Build a product process that keeps pace with an engineering team shipping 15x faster, using AI to deliver quality on a predictable cadence

  • Stay close to enterprise customers and turn Sales and Customer Success feedback into roadmap decisions

  • Own product metrics (adoption, retention, attribution, revenue impact) and drive measurable improvement

  • Partner with GTM (Go to Market) teams on launches, and lead product planning as we expand into new industries

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of product management in enterprise B2B (Business to Business) SaaS (Software as a Service), including 2+ years managing PMs

  • A track record of owning a roadmap at a fast growing company, with shipped outcomes you can quantify

  • Experience building enterprise functionality such as roles and permissions, multi account hierarchies, admin controls, and reporting

  • Strategic judgment: you connect product bets to revenue and retention, and can defend the tradeoffs

  • Mastery of product fundamentals (discovery, specs, prioritization, agile delivery) and the ability to teach them

  • Technical depth across systems, APIs (Application Programming Interfaces), data, and integrations, enough to challenge estimates and scope realistically

  • A history of building operating rhythm and accountability in a team without adding bureaucracy

  • Experience working closely with a founder CEO who is deeply involved in product: you bring strong recommendations, welcome review, and know when to push back and when to align

  • Deep, daily fluency with AI in your own product work

  • Evidence that you have already overhauled a product process with AI, with measurable gains in speed or quality

  • Clear, concise executive communication

Nice to Haves

  • Experience in MarTech (Marketing Technology) and attribution products, including CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Zapier)

  • Experience leading product through expansion into new industries or customer segments

  • Experience with products that combine software with physical operations or proprietary data

  • Experience building AI harnesses (agents, evaluation frameworks, or internal AI tooling)

  • Hands-on experience with Claude Code and Claude Design

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Form CC-305
Page 1 of 1
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 07/31/2029

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
