Role Purpose

LevelTen Energy is the world's largest online hub for carbon-free energy buyers, sellers, advisors, asset owners, and financiers, spanning 29+ countries in North America and Europe. We deliver the cloud-based software, centralized supply, automated analytics, data, and transaction expertise required to accelerate carbon-free energy transactions. 

We need an energetic, resourceful sales professional to fuel the top of funnel for LevelTen's Platform Sales team in North America. This role will have exposure across both the buy and sell sides of our marketplace, generating qualified opportunities for Account Executives while providing frontline support to keep our customers active and engaged. 

The BDR role is equal parts prospecting, research, and operational execution. You will be the first voice many prospects hear from LevelTen, and your work directly drives the pipeline that powers our subscription revenue and marketplace activity. This is a launching pad for a career in clean energy, with a clear promotion path to Account Executive. 

The position is based in our Seattle office, with the option to work from home up to 2 days a week. We are only considering candidates in the Seattle area. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prospecting and Lead Generation  
    • Drive demand for LevelTen's platform and services through persistent, multi channel outreach: cold calls, targeted emails, LinkedIn, and social communications  
    • Research prospective accounts and contacts to identify and qualify new leads across corporate buyers, developers, asset managers, advisors, and other market participants
    • Qualify and manage inbound leads, routing them to the appropriate Account Executive with context and next steps  
    • Run targeted outbound campaigns and email nurture sequences in coordination with both Sales and Marketing  
    • Generate qualified opportunities to support team annual revenue targets  
  • Customer Engagement and Platform Support
    • Engage with prospects and customers via phone and email to understand their needs and position LevelTen's value  
    • Schedule and coordinate discovery calls and demos for Account Executives  
    • Credential, onboard, and train new users on the LevelTen Platform  
    • Maintain active communication with leads through regular touchpoints, sharing relevant market materials and insights  
  • Operations and Reporting
    • Create and maintain accurate account, contact, and opportunity records in Salesforce  
    • Track and report performance metrics (call volume, email engagement, conversion rates) to drive data-driven improvements  
    • Contribute to refining sales processes and playbooks based on frontline interactions with prospects
    • Support other administrative and operational tasks as needed to keep the team running efficiently 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing, or customer success
  • Comfortable initiating conversations with new contacts and desire to grow as a sales professional  
  • Excellent writing and listening skills; highly organized with strong attention to detail  
  • Ability to articulate a product's value proposition clearly and simply via phone and email  
  • Self-motivated, persistent, and able to work independently and collaboratively  
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools  
  • Knowledge or strong interest in renewable energy, sustainability, and/or energy markets  
  • Experience running outbound email campaigns or using sales engagement platforms (Outreach, Salesloft, Apollo, etc.)  
  • Prior experience in SaaS or marketplace business models

Additional Details

  • This position is based out of our office in the Belltown neighborhood of Seattle, WA (hybrid work schedule).

  • The estimated compensation for this position is $80,000-$85,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for an annual bonus and an equity grant.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without a current or future need for visa sponsorship.
