
Warehouse Driver (non-CDL)

This role is responsible for loading, transporting, and delivering equipment and materials to Lexington Medical facilities and vendors, as well as performing various warehouse tasks such as picking, packing, inventory management, and shipping/receiving. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to operate warehouse equipment, and a commitment to safety.
This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to convert to a full-time regular employee.
Responsibilities:
Driving Duties (40%):
- Load, transport, and deliver equipment and materials safely and efficiently.
- Driving currently consists of short trips between our facilities in MA and full-day trips to NY.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including securing loads and driving defensively.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle before and after trips, ensuring it is in good working condition and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Provide professional and courteous interactions with clients, ensuring satisfaction and handling any delivery issues as they arise.
- Complete necessary paperwork for deliveries, including logging delivery times, recording mileage, and handling delivery receipts.
- Use a pallet jack and Walkie Stacker to load and unload
- Deliver materials safely to the required site and unload them per the customer's direction.
- Vehicle is a non-CDL box truck
Warehouse Operations (60%):
- Accurately pick parts, carefully pack and stage production orders for shipping.
- Perform regular cycle counts and audits, reporting any discrepancies or shortages.
- Maintain first in, first out (FIFO) of both raw materials and finished goods.
- Receive deliveries, accurately count contents, and enter data into the ERP system.
- Document damaged shipments and quantity discrepancies.
- Deliver received parts to proper storage locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse and delivery driving
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Ability to regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail, customer service and organizational skills
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic mathematics and computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and ERP/Warehouse management tools
- Ability to work independently and prioritize varying demands for time
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent
