Industrial/Occupational Nurse

This position will pay $30.00 per hour and increase based off performance.
Responsibilities
- As the nurse you will collaborate with EHS team members and our third-party services to provide site-specific plans to improve the work environment and prevent injuries through ergonomic evaluations
- Provides emergency care, evaluation and follow up for occupational illness and injuries
- Provides health consultation, first aid, immunizations, and appropriate referrals for non-occupational concerns
- Provides after-hours consultation for case management of employees' medical care as a result of injury as needed
- Treats, evaluates and assesses employee illness or injury and determine medical direction
- Helps determine what employees can do under restrictive duty, when they can return to work and when to refer them to an outside medical provider with the help of ProgressiveHealth Staff
- Supports and maintains medical and surveillance records as required by Company and/or regulatory agencies.
- Manages absences, incidents and issues related to FMLA, Sick Leave, Transitional Duty, and Work Injuries/ Illnesses with a focus on early return to work and prompt issue resolution
- Conducts business in a service-oriented manner that is professional, attentive, cooperative, sensitive, respectful and compassionate when dealing with patients, visitors, colleagues, and the public
- Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications
- RN or BSN degree
- OSHA record keeping experience Experience in manufacturing environment
- Ability to work flexible shift (7:00 am - 5:30 pm and Saturday's while production is operating)
- Strong understanding of state and federal workers compensation and family medical leave laws
- Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs
