We are currently seeking a Bilingual Material Planner (English/Korean speaking) to join our Dynamic Team in Clarksville, TN as part of the Material Team!

Starting wage of $60,000 annually and up based on experience. 

In this position you will coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner.   You will also acquire and maintain technical understanding of products purchased, monitors the cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value. Perform cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities. Obtain materials, components, equipment and services while ensuring security and accountability of inventory through transaction documentation, process and procedure verification, and system review. Analyze and when able, corrects cycle count discrepancies.  Audit incoming and in & outgoing shipments to assure quality and accuracy. Compile and document all transactions for data entry.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviews, analyzes, and resolves expectations and error reports from master data management and ERP planning modules
  • Establish and monitor finished goods inventory levels to ensure on-time compliance to customer release requirements while minimizing carrying and premium freight costs. 
  • Review department/plant measurable (customer delivery, supplier delivery, premium freight and inventory) and establish corrective measures for performance adherence. 
  • Facilitates the resolution of supplier inbound Quality Issues.
  • Support product supply and inventory plans consistent with the objectives of the business or product line.
  • Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
  • Achievement of daily, monthly and annual team targets (KPI)
  • Adheres to yearly budget and carries out the plan to meet that budget
  • Aligns Innovation team to forecast and reduces labor expense, forecasts, tracks and escalates as necessary
  • Responsible for establishing and promoting a safe working environment and establishes and monitors compliance activities to support the safety program  
  • Develop knowledge of Material Requirements Planning by assisting Supply Analysts plan the phase in and/or phase out of products. Identify unique components for products being phased out or inactivated
  • Preparing mechanisms for tracking inventory of unique components to insure use up plan to minimize excess and/or obsolete inventory is successful. Monitor product phase-in/out plans to
  • Minimize excess or obsolete inventory and issue progress reports during the phase out period.
  •  Realizing a sense of urgency around business imperatives and convincing others of that urgency. Setting well-defined goals to meet business challenges and ensuring performance against those goals. Overcoming obstacles to drive initiatives and actions to closure.

Skills:

  • Ability to accept change and adapt to a variety of assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Capability for MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to be self-directing, manage time and priorities effectively, take initiative, exercise good judgment, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and collaboration skills

  Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Working knowledge and ability to use MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and MS PowerPoint for reports, data analysis, etc.
  • Ability to navigate and teach Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) IT Systems such as Oracle, SAP, etc.
  • Flexible work hours and available for weekends
  • Bilingual-English/Korean
  • Occasional travel (international and domestic)
