We are currently seeking an Environment Associate position to join our dynamic team in Clarksville, TN as part of the Safety, Health & Environment Team!

Make an impact in Environmental Compliance & Sustainability

Are you passionate about environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance? We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Environmental Associate or Analyst to join our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in Tennessee.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 1–2+ years of experience and a degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering who’s ready to grow and contribute to high-impact environmental programs.

This position pays $63,000 annually and will increase based off experience. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support and continuously improve Environmental Management System (EMS) processes.
  • Assist with key environmental compliance programs, including:
    • Hazard Communication
    • Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC)
    • Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)
    • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)
    • Recycling and hazardous materials (Hazmat) management
  • Conduct routine site inspections to ensure environmental compliance and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor and manage recycling and waste handling activities, including preparing the Monthly Waste Report.
  • Collect and analyze air emissions data to ensure compliance with relevant air quality regulations.
  • Ensure proper chemical storage, labeling, and handling in designated areas.
  • Maintain and audit environmental documentation, including site records, logs, equipment maintenance, and operational data.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of training plans related to environmental awareness and compliance.
  • Support the preparation, update, and management of the environmental legal register.
  • Participate in environmental impact assessments and provide related educational support.
  • Assist in managing environmental policies, standards, and written procedures.
  • Plan, implement, and track progress of the annual environmental education plan.
  • Monitor environmental legislation trends and maintain historical compliance records.
  • Initiate and track issue resolution processes, including work order submission and completion.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail, especially in documentation and organization of environmental projects.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, or Environmental Engineering
  • Professional Experience: 1–2+ years of hands-on experience in environmental compliance, sustainability, or related fields
  • Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; effective in active listening, business writing, and relationship-building across all levels
  • Tech Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office Suite—Excel, PowerPoint, and Word—for documentation, reporting, and presentation creation
  • Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to evolving processes and operational changes
  • Critical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to assess issues logically and propose effective, compliant solutions
  • Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, especially in record-keeping, documentation accuracy, and project organization
  • Ethical Integrity: Committed to the highest ethical standards in all business practices; prioritizes integrity and legal compliance in every aspect of work
  • Travel Flexibility: Open to occasional domestic travel as needed for site support or training
