LG NOVA, LG’s North America Innovation Center, is the company’s venture incubation arm based in Silicon Valley. The Role: Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR), AI Vertical
We’re seeking an experienced Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead the incubation of a new AI venture within LG NOVA in underexplored or high-friction domains outside Health and Cleantech. This is a founder-track role focused on developing, validating, and launching a scalable business—culminating in a spin-out backed by our internal venture fund. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and pitch ventures through LG NOVA’s gated approval process and drive a venture from ideation to spin-out.
  • Generate venture ideas by identifying emerging AI technologies, trends, and gaps in the market (B2B, B2C, B2B2C)
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver proof-of-concepts for venture ideas that including rapid prototyping and validating hypotheses
  • Build business models, product/service concepts, and go-to-market strategies
  • Create and manage financial forecasts and operational roadmaps
  • Secure early pilot partnerships and customer traction
  • Negotiate venture funding and spin-out terms with LG’s internal venture capital team
  • Assemble a world-class founding team

 

Experience We’d Like You To Have

  • 10+ years in startups, corporate innovation, or venture studios, with a proven ability to build and scale businesses
  • Proven ability to build and scale businesses
  • 7+ years in digital product management, strategy, or development
  • Technical expertise with AI tools, cloud platforms, and software/hardware integration
  • Experience raising capital and working with VCs or corporate venture arms
  • Track record of navigating ambiguity and operating with urgency in white space environments
  • Exceptional communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or a related field (advanced degrees a plus)
  • Experience with AI-first product development and business model design
  • Understanding of agile venture building and lean experimentation frameworks

 

Preferred Qualifications

  •         Previous founder or start-up executive experience is preferred
  •         Deep network across AI stakeholders and potential early customers

 

Please Note: this is a contract position, not a direct full-time position with LG

 

Location: this is a hybrid position with the expectation this person will work out of the Morgantown, West Virginia office per our current hybrid schedule (every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with the option to WFH Monday’s and Friday’s)

Recruiting Range

$125,000 - $150,000 USD
