The Opportunity:  (Remote)

The Senior Solution Architect is a key technical leader responsible for ensuring the design integrity, engineering accuracy, and overall technical quality of LG’s large and complex audio-visual and digital display projects. This role spans both pre-sales and post-sales design activities, ensuring every solution meets client requirements, aligns with budget parameters, and upholds LG’s standards for excellence.

In the pre-sales phase, you will collaborate with sales, project management, and solution engineering/solution enablement teams to develop and validate the Bill of Materials (BOM) and Scope of Work (SOW) that define each project. You will ensure that all proposed components, labor estimates, and system elements accurately reflect the client’s technical requirements, environmental conditions, and integration complexity. Your expertise will guide opportunity qualification, risk assessment, and design feasibility throughout the proposal stage.

In the post-sales phase, you will take ownership of the detailed system design process, creating comprehensive documentation such as system schematics, AV signal flow diagrams, rack elevations, network layouts, and integration details. You will serve as the design authority, leading design reviews, coordinating with engineering and field teams, and ensuring that the delivered system performs as intended from concept through commissioning.

As the technical gatekeeper, you will safeguard design consistency and accuracy across all deliverables, maintaining alignment between the client’s vision, LG’s technical capabilities, and the project’s execution plan. You will also contribute to continuous improvement by refining design standards, documentation templates, and engineering workflows for scalability and efficiency.

This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned AV design professional who thrives on technical precision, collaboration, and accountability, someone who can balance strategic foresight with hands-on engineering expertise to deliver solutions that define the next generation of visual experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

As the AV/DVLED Solution Architect, you will:

  • Provide expert pre-sales design support by assisting with system design, creating Bill of Materials and conducting peer reviews, and contributing to the authoring of the Scopes of Work (SOWs) to ensure technical accuracy and clarity.
  • Develop detailed AV and DVLED system designs, including schematics, signal-flow diagrams, rack elevations, and integration plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with Solution Enablement and Project Management teams to prepare cost estimates, considering technical specifications, labor, materials, and logistics to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including design packages, submittals, and installation drawings to support fabrication, installation, and commissioning.
  • Act as a technical liaison among Solution Enablement Managers, Project Managers, engineers, consultants, and ecosystem partners to ensure design consistency and alignment through all phases of the project.
  • Engage directly with clients and channel partners to assess requirements, present solutions, and provide expert consultation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support pre-sales efforts in responding to RFPs and RFQs from specifiers, integrators, and end users, ensuring proposals are technically sound and strategically aligned.
  • Contribute to solution innovation, leveraging LG’s portfolio of display technologies and integrated business solutions to address emerging customers and market opportunities.
  • Stay current with evolving technologies in DVLED, control systems, signal distribution, and AV-over-IP to continuously enhance solution quality and design efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Minimum 10+ years of professional experience in commercial AV system design and integration, including experience with large-scale, high-complexity projects exceeding $2 million.
  • Proven ability to interpret RFPs, develop compliant technical responses, and contribute to detailed bid proposals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in cost estimation, including equipment, labor, integration services, and project expenses.
  • Strong knowledge of AV industry standards and best practices, including signal distribution, control systems, networking, and power design.
  • Experience collaborating with consultants, architects, general contractors, and enterprise clients on large commercial or mission-critical environments (e.g., corporate campuses, sports venues, control rooms).
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, and SketchUp for system documentation and visualization.
  • Experience with Direct-View LED (DVLED) system design, integration, and controller configuration.
  • Familiarity with control systems such as Crestron, AMX, and Q-SYS.
  • Working knowledge of networking for AV, including AV-over-IP and enterprise network integration principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, and project management functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • CTS-D certification or equivalent AV industry credentials preferred.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
