We are currently seeking a Senior Press Technician to join our new and dynamic team in Clarksville, TN as part of the Manufacturing and Production Team!
As a Senior Press Technician, your primary role is to train employees on presses /equipment in an advisor/coaching role. In addition, you will assist with maintaining press schedules, evaluating parts based on quality standards and customer specifications, and assists press operators as needed. You will also assist with the setup and breakdown procedures.
The Schedule will be 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 3:00pm-12:00am.
This position pays $72,000 annually and increase based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing Press Die and Metal Sheet Parts manufacturing and improvement process for factory production systems
- Experience in metal sheet parts productivity and production improvement
- Experience in new dies building and product line factory operation systems.
- Responsible for training engineers and press operators regarding proper Press die operations to process improvement techniques and process. Make necessary changes to ensure product specifications are met
- Identify training and development needs and assists department managers with reviewing Press Operator performance
- Assists in the development and update of Press training manuals
- Responsible for visual inspection of production for defects based on Standard
- Monitor product for any quality issues
- Achieve established daily performance target
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- 20+ years Press and Die Operation experience required
- Experience in mentoring and/or coaching Press Operators
- Experience in Press Die, Metal sheet parts, and improvement process
- Strong understanding of production of complex equipment and system integration
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and process improvements
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing including machine capabilities and efficiencies
- Press Die Projects and design include new line formation and analysis of improvement process.
- Execution of project goals, install and troubleshoot operations for proper factory automation processing
