Production Engineer Associate
LG Electronics U.S.A., Inc. in Clarksville, TN seeks Production Engineer Associate. Evaluate and modify washing machine manufacturing system equipment or processes to maximize efficiency Production line and Engineering planning.
Responsibilities:
- Study time, motion, methods, or speed involved in maintenance, production, or other operations to establish standard production rate or improve efficiency.
- Compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
- Collaborate with other production engineers to increase production efficiency; develop standardized work procedures.
- Develop and draft new Inspection Processes.
- Prepare layouts for new process, select appropriate machinery, tools and equipment.
- Review and plan projects from concept review to installation and stabilization.
- Verify that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards by observing worker performance.
- Diagnose equipment breakdown and troubleshoot problems.
- Recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability.
- Communicate with vendors to obtain materials and/or equipment needed to satisfy client's needs.
- Select material quantities or processing methods needed to achieve efficient production.
- Set up and operate production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures.
- Follow and adhere to all state, federal and company enforced safety rules.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related degree.
- Must have course work or work experience with Mechanical Drawing, Dynamics, Mechanics of Machines, Materials for Engineering, Production Processes, Elements of Machines, and Automatic Controls.
