The Opportunity
LG Electronics Air Solutions is hiring a Senior Program Manager to take ownership of the long-term direction of an assigned product line. This role is accountable for reading market needs, regulatory change, and the competitive landscape, and turning that understanding into a product roadmap and strategy that leadership and engineering can execute against. The Senior Program Manager works cross-functionally across engineering, marketing, sales, and Korea HQ, and may mentor junior Program managers.
Responsibilities
- Own the product roadmap and long-term strategy for an assigned product line, from market input through launch
- Anticipate and interpret regulatory and code changes (DOE, EPA, ASHRAE, UL, AHRI, and similar bodies) and set product direction to stay ahead of them
- Lead ongoing competitive analysis and benchmarking; identify white space and positioning opportunities
- Define product requirements and business cases for new platforms and major feature investments
- Present roadmap, market analysis, and business cases to executive leadership and Korea HQ
- Direct cross-functional teams (engineering, marketing, sales, operations) through product planning and launch
- Own pricing, volume, and margin assumptions for the roadmap in partnership with finance
- Build and maintain relationships with Korea HQ product planning counterparts to align regional and global roadmaps
- Mentor and review the work of junior product managers
- Represent the company with industry bodies, customers, and channel partners on product direction as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline; advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience in product management or product development, with direct HVAC or related mechanical equipment experience
- Bilingual in Korean and English required, both written and verbal, sufficient for executive-level technical and business discussions
- Demonstrated ownership of a product roadmap or portfolio, including market analysis and business case development
- Strong working knowledge of HVAC systems, applicable codes, and industry standards
- Track record of navigating regulatory change and translating it into product strategy
- Proven ability to influence senior leadership and align cross-functional teams without direct authority
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and executive audiences
- Willingness to travel domestically and to Korea as needed (estimated 15–25%)
Recruiting Range
$100,000 - $127,000 USD
