Job Summary: We are seeking a recent college graduate to join our team as an Equipment Engineer. In this entry-level role, you will assist in daily manufacturing operations by supporting process optimization, quality improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will apply your academic knowledge to real-world production challenges and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Test: Participate in equipment and process trials to support production improvements and validate new tools or methods under engineering supervision.
- Report: Help track and document production performance metrics such as OEE, yield, and downtime to support operational visibility.
- Analyze: Collect and review data related to process efficiency, quality issues, and continuous improvement efforts to identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Assist: Work alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams to support day-to-day manufacturing operations, SOP updates, and operator training.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or production setting is a plus.
- Exposure to continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma or similar problem-solving methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with CAD, Minitab, or data analysis tools is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a plant/production environment.
- Must be able to use PPE and adhere to safety procedures.
- Must be able to perform the following:
- Ability to work occasional off-shift or weekend work as needed for trials or support.
